I really enjoyed this introductory issue of the new Stormwatch. The cast is a good mix of carry overs from the Authority, some interesting new characters and the old school DC classic, Martian Manhunter. I thought the plot was all kinds of crazy cool. We learn that this team has secretly been in operation for centuries, protecting the world from extraordinary threats. Then there is this sweet counsel of the dead that governs Stormwatch's activities. In this issue the group discovers that the moon has a bit of a beef with Earth (it was only a matter of time). They also find this giant weird horn thingy in the arctic. And, and, and they are trying to recruit Apollo, who is Superman strong, to counter the rise of these Justice League punks. The recruitment doesn't go as planned because, A. Apollo is super strong and not so interested in joining and B. this Midnighter fellow gets involved. Yeah, that all happened in one issue and I loved it
