BATMAN, INCORPORATED #1
May 25, 2012 11:37 pm ya know, it's fucked up. i'll be in vegas a week before morrisoncon for a wedding. i gotta try and work something out. i'm only six hours from vegas. i might say "fuck it" and drive. i would like to do a 'fear and loathing' type of road trip there. i'll have to be careful, though. that's bat country!

THE FLASH #9
May 25, 2012 2:12 pm is pied piper the gay character that DC has been promising? no, right? it's supposed to be someone big like wally west, alan scott or tim drake, right?
i was all like "!HOLY SHIT!" when i read the scene between the piper(is there a pun there, somewhere? lol) and director singh. did not see that coming. it's great to see the tradition of progessive, open-mindedness in comics continuing to bravely stride in the face of bigotry.

STAR WARS: DARTH VADER AND THE GHOST PRISON #1 (OF 5)
May 25, 2012 1:56 pm this is fantastic. i'm hooked.
a story from the point of view of a freshly graduated officer of the newly formed empire is brilliant. at first, i thought i would pity him, given his mutilations, but that's not the case at all. i'm curious as to why he doesn't have a bionic arm. and i agree with @freezerburn that it does make characters like vader and the emperor seem MORE larger than life.
the pacing between the opening, the climax and the cliffhanger are perfectly timed. this book is very promising.
super stoked for next issue.

THE FLASH #9
May 25, 2012 1:19 pm a solid 3 stars, which is good, but i'm disappointed. the art is fantastic, as usual, but the story just seemed lackluster. not my favorite portrayal of grodd(i've been spoiled by the JL Unlimited version).
like manapul, maybe i need a break. reevaluate after the summer. i need to make room in my budget for the before watchmen books, anyway.
art 4/5
story2/5

May 25, 2012 12:26 pm i like reis more than manapul and scott.
and let's not forget that one guy...what's his name? OH YEAH! jim lee.
seems to me that DC has the best talent these days.

May 25, 2012 12:07 am i love the fetish-costume angle of the book. i am reminded of nite-owl not being able to get it up without the aid of a costume in watchmen.
damian being a vegetarian: gold.
