not my favorite bprd issue. the premise is good. stuck in a creepy house in the middle of nowhere surrounded by a green fog with what appears to be walking corpses all around. the old man seemed wacky enough to be playing games with this c-list agent. i was immediately set on edge when agent vaughn awoke to this crazy old coot last issue.
but, the 2 biggest problems with the story is (1) there was no real follow through with this issue. (2) i thought this was going to be a vampire story. not a vampire history lesson. the green fog was cool and a nice touch to add suspense, but not cool enough to be the main villain. and when we finally make it to the vampire house, nothing. no payoff. how anticlimatic.
the art was pretty average and i was going to give it a 2, but decided on a 3 because of dave stewart’s colors. the illumination from the lamps is awesome. he is the best at casting light onto a scene. but the “fight” with the fog was poorly illustrated and awkward at best. if you’re considering picking up the bprd for a test drive, i would start on a different arc.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 3 - Good
