Anger and Sadness, those are the twos words I have here for this finale. How many interviews has Bendis done where he says 'I've had this idea in my head for years, this is basically what I wanted to do with Marvel'. This is seriously the best Bendis could do? In all seriousness, for the last 5 years this is what Bendis had in mind for this story?

Okay let's put this in to perspective: This is just about what not to do in an event series:

1) Dont end you damn event on a perspective angle. When you have the last issue ending on an Avenger's member turning purple and grow 100 stories high, you dont just half ass the explaination on how you solved this. So Thor swings his hammer to make a tornato and then....What? She just disappears and the next pages are the heroes dealing with the Queen. Seriously? I mean I know Wasp is a big joke, she cared more about her looks then fighting the good fight....But she's one of the founding members of the Avengers and you half ass her death? Pathetic

2) Dont suddenly bring back characters out of the blue. Okay, so after all of these questions on whether the replaced heroes/villains were killed or not....They were just in one of the many ships, alive and well. Why? Why on Earth would the Skrulls keep these people alive? It makes no sense to say 'oh they were a bargining chip'...How on earth could they be a bargining chip? Did the Skrulls know they were going to lose, cause they didnt seem intent on losing at all. Plus, didnt the original Dum Dum Dugen get stabbed and left for dead? Why is he suddenly fine in this issue? (Nitpick but damnit, that was a huge page panel for a preview of the invasion) So instead of trying to be different and actually kill off some big name heroes (like Invisible Woman and Spider-Woman)....you just say they are find and dandy and nothing will change with them. Oh and Mockinbird must've been taken from Mehphisto or something...Cause she died, she didnt just disappear in the Marvel universe.

3) Dont have have-assed explainations. So Osbourne killed the Skrull Queen....that means he runs the Avengers now? The Skrulls invaded the planet, so suddenly you need to end SHIELD? Tony Stark was the scape-goat for this invasion....Why? Just because he ran to get a new peice of armor, he's suddenly a coward and has to lose his job? Another thing about Osbourne, what logic is it that he now controls the Avengers? Bendis is screwing his own continuity cause since it's the Mighty Avengers, he shouldnt be leader....Stark wasnt the leader, Ms. Marvel was. So did she get the axe too? But Wolverine was like a half inch close of slicing the queen's head off, so that means he would be the leader of the Avengers now right? Oh and Emma Frost is a villain now?.....Yeah Bendis, thanks for ruining Grant Morrison's, Joss Whedon's, and Brubaker/Fraction's stories because now her years as a hero is thrown right out the window.

4) Never introduce characters you wont use. Agent Brand, The Hood, Noh-Varr, and many many others we're giving a moment in the earlier issues or tie-ins....and for what? Just so they can make their one appearence and then show up again for the final issue? Brand realised Reed Richards and then she disappeared; The Hood had a couple of panels in issues 6-8 but had no real reason too, and Noh-Varr was clearly advertised to do something in this....and he did jack shit. Why bring these players into the fold if they absolutely bring nothing to the table later on? It's like introducing a Monitor for COIE and never see him again til the final issue...Makes no sense.

This, to me, is the best example on why comic companies need to focus on their stories more. Yes I know money makes the world go round but think about this: This is the 3rd event that Marvel has ended basically saying: 'Make sure to pick up all these other tie-ins and seperate titles to get the full end of our event'. House of M, Civil War, and now Secret Invasion bascially didnt have a justifible ending in the main series. We need to pick up more titles and waste more money to get a real ending here....WHY!? Why do I need to waste hundreds of dollars for yet another year just to get every single characters 'new' status quo after an event? I wont stand for it anymores, I tells ya! If it wasnt for the underrated Nova, Deadpool, and Incredible Herc...I would basically out right say that I will stop picking up Marvel titles.

Marvel might get all the sales in the world, and this issue will most likely be #1 in sales charts this month....But who the fuck cares? If they are going to keep disregarding their fan base then there is no reason to pick up most (if not all) titles in the brand. So you can say that this is a rabid troll or angry comic nerd....But I just cant deal with this anymore. Final Crisis has delievered on all of it's advertising and in four issues they've done more then the entire 8 issues of Secret Invasion. I always wanted to buy more indie and DC books. Oh and I forgot my final last six words here. Bendis I'm sure will take this as an angry comic nerd venting, but I will never....never pick up any of his titles anymore. Sadly that means dropping Ultimate Spider-Man, but really...there's no reason to pick up a Bendis title anymore. In short:

Go Fuck Yourself Brian Michael Bendis.
