May 4, 2009 8:18 pm it's 8 bucks... but it's 72 pages long.  i'm just worried that after the catastrophe that was the black dossier(i couldn't even motivate myself to finish it), this one might not be worth the time. 

May 4, 2009 8:15 pm first issues very seldomly knock my socks off.  it usually takes about 3 or 4 to get me roped in if it's any good.  i liked #1 and i really like the concept of this, so i'm definitely willing to go a few months with it.

May 4, 2009 5:50 pm dc has said that almost all of their books are going to remain 2.99 for the recent future.  this series looks like it's gonna be pretty rad, just based on issue #1

i'm still not 100% convinced this is gonna pan out.  but i'm gonna stick it out, because we all know that the first 4 issues of bone weren't the most amazing thing in the world.

BONE.

 yes, the one volume collection is HUGE.  but bone is by far my absolute favorite series of comics i've ever read.  it's just sprawling, epic, funny, dark, the art is excellent.  jeff smith takes the idea of realistic art going hand in hand with relation and sympathy with characters and turns it on it's head.  plus, 48 of the 55 issues were self published by smith's cartoon books. 

 if you have already done a show on bone that i just haven't seen please disregard my vote.
