December 14, 2011 6:29 pm absolute homerun - what a fantastic story, all the way through - and the story (and art) in the final story arc (issue #18) was breathtakingly satisfying. Very moving the Betsy-Warren-through-their-life scenes, and the "WTF?" ending is just great!
June 5, 2011 1:04 am Looks like I'll start reading DC again...digitally at $1.99 per copy that is, a month after print version.
December 25, 2010 10:46 pm Merry Christmas ifanboys - love the pick of the week (and also John/Word Balloon!) - looking forward to 2011 with both podcasts.
April 25, 2010 2:07 am I bought this on the cover alone (not the variant cover, which I learned about reading above) and I am really intrigued with the premise, the storytelling, and the art works (for me, it either works or it doesn't - it's part of the storytelling, which I always appreciate the "ifanboys" acknowledging and bringing to ouro attention in the podcasts) and I will happily continue with this series. I have never read anything on these Wildstorm characters (I'm a Marvel guy and Neal Adams, John Bucema was the apex of good art, so you can peg my taste in that category).  I know nothing about this writer or artist but both are "keepers" for me.  I'm looking foward to the remaining books in this story.
December 25, 2009 12:31 pm I don't know, when Hank Pym, as Ant-Man, went inside the Vision (drawn by Neal Adams!) it was a wonder - this trip inside Luke Cage: meh. Dr Voodoo seems useless, just a caddy to Dr Strange - so much for the eye of amagotto as indispensable.  Overall, just filler.  I agree with Edward: one good issue, two that suck etc.  I like the Avengers but time to move things forward.
December 25, 2009 12:26 pm I just don't care and am dropping this title also.
December 24, 2009 11:05 am the new book will be: " Detective: Bruce Wayne"  (just starting rumors ;)
December 24, 2009 10:51 am the writing: very nice (on the re-read) because the art: wow, couldn't make it to the words until 2nd time around - Tan has a new fan in me.  (Is this the same Tan who did New Avengers a while back - can't be.)
November 13, 2009 3:52 am I agree with FACE; this issue was a train-wreck.  hard to follow, art just terrible, Robin's situation played out only for a couple of panels with no one really effected by it, and the ending doesn't so much qualify as a cliffhanger but rather a disjointed event, unrelated to the story but somehow a prelude to....what? That final question was the only thing that interested me.....and Robin has his own medical team that follows him by GPS? WTF! where did they even come from!?
October 12, 2009 6:32 pm this blew.  what a mess.
