August 16, 2017 7:55 pm I know it will be awhile before I receive my "super power"...is there someone still compiling a list...and is someone out there creating costumes and names...or someplace where we can submit our super-name and costume. When the Legion of Doom we need to know who to call...what are we calling our group? iFanboy Brigade? iFanboy Society of America (International, Europe et all...); iFanboy Detroit? Legion of iFanboys?
May 8, 2011 2:09 am Shade, the changing man I think is coming back to the regular dcu. Personally, I still long for the opposite! It's much more novel for me to see the "regular" dcu stars get the "vertigo" treatment! Originally that's what vertigo was: unusual or more mature takes on the established dcu: doom patrol, sandman mystery theater, animal man, hell blazer, shade, swamp thing, black orchid, Tim hunter, kid eternity....now that's MY vertigo (telling my age). vertigo today is basically creator-owned...what Wildstorm was supposed to be...

It's always hard for us "monthly people" e.g. those who get there books from an online service like DCBS to participate in this conversation or the weekly reviews for that matter, but the cover of  X-Factor #46 is fantastic. Two girls fighting in close-up...facial expressions dead-on and did i mention that it as two hot chicks fighting? *You may now return to your regularly scheduled PC programming*

July 2, 2009 6:26 pm The Mighty cover reminds me of the Y The Last Man astronaut cover from a few years back...

Great article Sonia!

I find that I feel the same way about LOST right now...it is so immersive and I feel the same way about it (esp. when it first started) as I did when Twin Peaks came out. Both shows are just so atypical for mainstream television (as they say: "Years ahead of their time...")  From the comedy side I did the same for Arrested Development. What a fantastic show...i began watching it right as the DVDs came out and lamented that I had failed to watch it in "real time." *sigh*

Comics wise: Y the Last Man is a no-brainer....but Dark Horse's "dark horse title" Rex Mundi has an "immersive quality" to it...highly recommended!

Really looking forward to Power Girl. I cannot get enough of Amanda Connor's Art!!!

The standard answer is usually Khan, I actually liked the 4th film, The Voyage Home. First Contact wasn't bad but i really don't think there should have been a 'female' Borg queen....

I have a headache now,

Sorry about that! My wife gave up on the show a long time ago so I am sorely lacking on good, intelligent conversation regarding LOST.

It is neat to go back and rewatch this episode after you know that Daniel is going to be shot. You really see the sadness on Eloise's face when she talks to him for the last time. She also pointed out in her conversation with Penny that "for the first time she didn't know what was going to happen..." Do you think that perhaps she sent him back hoping that maybe he could change the past becasue of his gifts and that maybe he would not be shot afterall...

More stuff to give you a headache over....

OK...so some questions. Help me here anyone. The button that Desmond, and then later Locke, had to keep pushing is a button designed to release some of the energy that builds up? So when Desmond fails to push it, the energy causes the plane crash. OK, so far so good. When Locke fails to push it, Desmond pushes a fail safe button. Do you think the fail safe button casues the hydrogen bomb that was buried to negate the energy? I've never understood what exactly happen in that episode many moons ago with the fail safe switch...

And I really don't think Ben believed in the button either. He was an Other before the hatch was created and only went back to Dharmaville after the purge. The incident casued the creation of the hatch and Ben wasn't involved. What did he gain by having Locke not push the button?
