Forget it, not getting this as much as I like Mike Carey's work. I just don't need to see Gambit's origin retold.

June 10, 2009 8:11 am I seriously hope they don't make Jean's return as convoluted as making her Hope. The whole incarnation thing is just a little too unwieldy and nobody will care about it. The best thing is to just have Hope be nobody we already know, and if Jean must return just let the Phoenix Force do it. It doesn't have to be complicated.
June 2, 2009 7:32 am I think I'm done with this title now. The whole "Dark Reign" thing just ain't workin'. Plus when they move on from it in about a year this title will become pointless the same way The Initiative has.
May 19, 2009 7:34 am I don't know why people hate this era of the X-men comics. I was reading 'em long before then, and I found it to be very enjoyable. I agree with you, Noto, that it was around that Onslaught period that the books really became just unreadable. I still read them, mind you, but it was tough.
May 15, 2009 11:02 am That Benson one-shot was not good, but it's almost like a different writer this time around. 'Pool is much more talkative here, much more in keeping with the way he's supposed to be portrayed. In fact, I'd go so far as to say Benson has a better handle on Wade than Way does.
April 23, 2009 11:09 am I think this might be my last issue. This was not a good book. Even with just two storylines taking place it didn't feel like either got enough attention. The art was simply awful, but I'm not going to blame Ramos. It was the terrible coloring. It just didn't fit with the pencils one bit. I also like how they just throw Night Thrasher on Counter Force now that New Warriors is cancelled. If you didn't read that book you'd have no clue who he is.
April 21, 2009 9:39 am Same here. I'm only reading this because I have the first two and I'm a sucker for X-men books. What has this book really told us about Bishop that we really needed to know? And like you said, the art is atrocious.  Has anyone figured out when this story takes place? Duane said it would be obvious where this story takes place in relation to the Cable series, but I grasped it yet.
April 21, 2009 9:32 am The thing that bothers me most is that it's late and the story seems irrelevant. I just can't justify buying it anymore.
April 21, 2009 9:30 am I'd rather have Choi doing the art on this series, but I'm digging where this story is going so far.
April 21, 2009 9:29 am Is that the cover? That's terribly boring. Never did see the appeal in Pham's art.
