It could be ok…right? I mean it’s not like EVERY X-Men solo mini has been bad….right? This is 4 bucks I won’t get back. Still giving it a shot.
I’ve been wanting to try these Origins books. I was going to grab the Wolverine one, but it was a big week and Wolverine can get on my nerves, so I promised myself I’d get the next one.
Then I saw who it was…
Ugh. This better be good. And to make sure of that, I’m going take this little pill over here and forget everything I’ve known about Gambit since about, oh, let’s say, 1991…..
I want it, but the $4 price tag is kinda annoying.
Looked at the preview. "Den" "Dese" "Dat"… his accent sounds Jamaican! Whatever I’ll probably still pick it up. 😛
Forget it, not getting this as much as I like Mike Carey’s work. I just don’t need to see Gambit’s origin retold.
Ugh, I totally prejudged this book. Very good read; they didn’t change anything to update anything or any of that shit I thought they were trying to do; just a nice little way of tying Gambit’s bits and pieces (and there are quite a few of them) up into a complete story that actually makes sense.
