March 10, 2011 5:21 pm Good god - This issue was awful! When you think back on Avengers history, from the classic to the corny to the epic - will this series even register? Stink-o-rama. A single page of Secret Avengers is better than this whole issue/arc/title. P.U.
This issue is an homage to comics. It kind of looks like a comic, but ultimately is just a caricature of one.

Amazing team, amazing comic. The art in these is FANTASTIC, and the comic has an 'ambience' like no other title. This is like a 50's 'pre-movie' adventure serial, in awesome comic form. What a shame that Wolverine and Deadpool and Spidey will be in 8 titles each this month, but no more Atlas.

 

Venus, I think, is in the upcoming 'Chaos War' centered around Herc.

Judge the book on its own merits? You must REALLY hate it!!!

You know what I'd like to see? A 'Hulk Scriptbook' for issues 1-13..... gee... I wonder what they'd write on the SECOND page :)

April 24, 2009 6:18 pm Just my opinion, but this is not old-school. This is not classic. This is not tongue-in-cheek. This run really is just the equivalent of a creative dump - apparently from the same tainted meal as Ultimate 3 and Ultimatum. The cartoony art suits the moronic tone. $3.99? The most expensive roll of one-ply I've ever seen!
