May 2, 2011 10:12 am This episode was terrible. Someone in the show really loves that Spartacus TV series or the movie Gladiator too much. It really didn't belong here.
And the writing was awful too. The dialog felt like it was merely taking up space.
Was there any point where ANYone thought that Oliver was going against Clark? Did the showrunners really think they were fooling anyone?
Also, why was Oliver such a push-over in the Phantom Zone to begin with? Isn't everyone on the same level there? Couldn't he just have beat them all up? Wasn't that THE WHOLE POINT OF HIM COMING ALONG IN THE FIRST PLACE?
Terrible episode. Hopefully the last ones aren't awful.
May 2, 2011 1:49 am My problem is that I don't know where to KEEP GOING! Example: I read Whedon's Astonishing X-Men, but then had no idea what to pick up next. I am, admittedly, an amateur comics reader, but it seems like you need to make it your job to find out how all these stories progress in order to follow it.
I also think it depends on the type of person you are when it comes to consuming media. I NEED to know the backstory.
March 30, 2011 10:06 pm You know, Brea Grant might actually be a decent choice for Deena. She's the perfect physical type for the part, and from what I've seen of her work, she has the right attitude or can play it.
But to echo what everyone else is saying: YES. Coach Taylor FTW! EAST! EAST! EAST! Clear eyes, full hearts CAN'T LOSE!
And Riggins is simply dreamy. Definite man crush. He also cracks me up in the first season, because that's when his Canadian accent seriously pushes through his put-on Texas accent. Hysterical.
February 26, 2011 10:50 am Apparently I'm the only person who hated this episode. I can't really put my finger on why, but it might have to do with ripping off the Hangover right after ripping off Date Night. It's also because it was all just TOO goofy. I could see what they were going for, and I enjoyed the characters goofing off, but most of the episode was just dumb. Like "my lucky lemur?" Seriously? Is there any chance it's a coincidence that the lemur in this episode and the monkey in the Hangover 2 are both wearing denim jackets?
Sorry, despite some smiles, this episode just bugged me.

"There is no question that Doug TenNaple isn't totally awesome"
Doesn't that mean you think Doug isn't awesome? I thought you did!
Thanks for these, by the way. I already have a large number of webcomics I read, but I'll be adding some of these to the list I check regularly...
:)
That means Green Lantern makes the suggestion, then agrees with himself. For some reason that just seems weird too...
