Name: Justin Barnard

Bio: I'm your typical mid 20s comic book fan. As a kid I dabbled lightly in comics with x-men mostly but my real awakening to comics happend when my mother who was in the navy returned from an overseas trip with 3 huge bags filled with comics ranging from original UK Judge Dread to Avengers to Green Lantern to XO Man of War to God knows what I am forgetting. I kept pretty steady on comics moving through events like Zero Hour in DC to Onslaught in Marvel, Post onslaught during the "heroes reborn stories" I lost interest in the repetiveness I saw so I dropped out for a while, read some random trades here and there then around 2000 I was introduced to Top Cow and these comics brought back a passion like I never knew before (as well as a budget to sustain it) This coupled with the looming trade paperback revolution has kept me a happy comic fan steadily for coming close to a decade now.

April 30, 2012 3:59 pm I hope they let them keep the costumes :D
April 20, 2012 1:37 am oh custom sketch how you haunt me, a couple years ago I attended a convention that ryan ottley was at, and I was so awestruck by him that I couldn't bring myself to ask for a sketch... I don't know what it was, I did my research, knew how much he charged, I knew what I wanted, but I couldn't speak to him, I talked with lots of other creators at the con but I could not utter a syllable to him, I even talked to Jason Howard who shared a booth with him. Finally I had to have my girlfriend go up and ask him for a sketch, but sadly some guy got there first and got his last slot, and then tried to haggle with him on it of all things! So I never did get my sketch of Omniman and Allen the alien playing air guitar.... *sigh*....
April 4, 2012 11:37 am i bought every issue of omac right up until it was annouced that i was being cancelled, I just decided to wait for a trade at that point

March 17, 2012 9:23 pm Love the concept, costume is okay, wouldn't mind seeing her in a costume a little closer to either the original captain marvel or Genis-vel, but definitely should keep the sash, and like everyone else I'm not sold on the hair cut...
March 17, 2012 6:23 pm I must be in a weird minority here, totally enjoyed the trailer seemed like it took the lighter elements of ultimate spider-man and mixed with plenty of action figure tie in merchandising. As far as the voice it doesn't really bother me all that much. Looking forward to watching this with my nephew!
March 7, 2012 11:32 am remake/reboot would be nice but really it only made to what issue #9 could just re-release the first 9 issues and then have this new team pick up where joe mad left off. I really wish someone would revisit this story/world, it started off with so much potential!
February 23, 2012 3:47 pm So fun story, my fiancee whom I've been with for the past 5 years, I meet her at an anime club in college. When we started hanging out I didn't single her out as some super rare geek girl as the club we were in was probably 60-70% women. We started hanging out because we discovered each other both liked anime but we both LOVED comics. We went to comic shops together and had mad boughts of jealousy when one or the other would find a good run or a rare single issue in back issue bins, we traded umm Trades to introduce the other to materials we'd never read. The first time I went back to her place it was as friends, and it was so i could rummage through the long boxes she had to see what gems she'd been hiding from me, and the next day I loaned her a massive stack of books from my long boxes. We did stuff like this for almost 3 months before we began dating, because through our shared geekiness we discovered we had lots in common. And I must say that in 2013 it will be with great pride that she will be my wife and it all started because I treated her as an equal in all things geek.
February 1, 2012 9:45 am I feel disappointed here I thought that the comedian could really benefit from one of those new snazzy jim lee collars. So all kidding aside I think this will be ok. in fact i'd go so far as to say that minute men series has me kind excited
January 18, 2012 12:55 am i remember getting a couple of random issues of x-o when I was young and it didn't make the slightest bit of sense to me, but I enjoyed looking at it anyways, might pick this up in hopes of fixing the OMAC shaped hole in my heart
