This is by far my favorite Blackest Night mini so far. Batman really felt cheap, rushed, and really just didn’t read well to me.
Superman was good yet it felt distant from the central conflict.

This Titans mini was none of the above. It felt like it was dead center to the tempest that is rocking the DCU. The titan’s history is marred with so much tragedy that its easy enough to find the skeletons hiding in the closet and the titans really deal with this everyday of their lives, its who they are. And yet when these ghosts of the past come forth to haunt them they meet the challenge head on because having these specters of the past throw their history in their faces doesn’t matter because its just simply always with them as people and as a team. And we can feel for them because it humanizes them much because we live with our mistakes and we can relate with the fact that you can’t just shrug it off. The art was solid, it didn’t try to be something special and became special because of it and maintained this consistent level of excellence through out the whole. If the main Titan books were this easy to connect with these days I’d be thrilled to be honest. I think I may have enjoyed it even more than the main blackest night book this week.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
