Like a big exploding slice of cheesecake…

I read this issue on the recommendation of a couple of friends who have fully bought into the whole Blackest Night line of titles and tie-ins.

Despite having a limited knowledge of Teen Titans history and not reading the first two parts, I enjoyed the issue. The action flowed well with some strong visceral panels.

I can’t comment on the story really but I will say the dialog at times felt simplistic. This is an action heavy comic though so to expect more would be like expecting iambic pentameter in Ong Bak 2.

The art was exciting and alluring but it’s clear that Benes’ favorite cup size is D. This is pet peeve of mine – not the cup size thing but how female characters are drawn with similar proportions. It just seems lazy to me.

If you’re only reading Blackest Night and are starting to feel a little fatigue, I recommend Titans #3. It’s a great shot in the arm to the overall event.
