September 13, 2011 9:12 pm One of only two Marvel titles that I read. The art is Jam Pony and Waid's writing has once again risen to the occasion.
September 13, 2011 9:08 pm I'm in the same boat, but I'm really excited for this book.
September 13, 2011 9:06 pm Unfortunately, I can't agree with you on Hawk and Dove, but the story and art from the first issue of The Infinite were fantastic.
September 13, 2011 9:02 pm I absolutely agree. I believe that Edmondson is going to bring it!
September 10, 2011 1:06 pm This book really felt like an Image book and that's a good thing. I honestly did not expect to like this title, but it punched me right in the face with awesomeness! I hope this title catches fire, because it felt so good. If not for Animal Man, OMAC would be my POTW.
September 10, 2011 12:36 pm I'm really surprised, because I loved The Infinite: art, story, everything. Hawk and Dove was so far from that though, on every level. I was was fully prepared to love this issue and even argue it's merits, but there is just nothing there.
September 10, 2011 12:28 pm I'm disappointed, because I didn't dig this issue. I loved Simone's Agent X and Secret Six, but this just didn't do it for me. I'm all about some self-talk, but Barbara's was annoying at best. I honestly feel that Simone writes Bads way better than she writes Goods and that's what's so annoying about this issue: The Big Bad seemed interesting and the Brisby Killers were fantastic! I don't know, maybe with a few more pages to flesh out significant moments, but I think i'm out.
September 10, 2011 11:59 am This was a great first chapter. I really am interested in seeing what Snyder does with this series. Other than the great Big Bad setup, the characterization of Alec Holland was the best part of this issue! Much like what Lemire did with Animal Man, Snyder hooked me on a character that I previously had no back ground with or interest in.
September 10, 2011 11:18 am WOW, what a fantastic issue! This book really felt like a Vertigo title and Lemire did exactly what he was suppose to do: he made me care about a character that I had no back ground or interest with and he hooked me for the series. I hope Travel Foreman is on for the long hall, because I thought that his art was perfect for Lemire's story. I can't wait for issue #2!
September 3, 2011 8:40 pm I thought that this was a great issue! I'll be sharing this floppy with my h.s. anime and manga club just to watch them drool over the art. I think this was a great issue to pull in brand new readers.
