March 15, 2013 2:19 pm I think you missed the rest of BATMAN & ROBIN.
March 13, 2013 9:33 pm Oh and I said pick of the year "so far." There's a lot of 2013 left. I can't think of a better issue of anything that I have read in the past 2 1/2 months.
March 13, 2013 9:32 pm Funny that you mention Hickmans FF. I went back and read that right after I finished this. While I loved the rooftop Hulk, Thing, Thor thing, I think the silence in that issue did not add that much to that particular issue (aside from the battle on the roof). Marvel also felt they had to add to break the silence by backing it up with Spidey and Franklin talking about uncles and feelings. I still love that issue, both parts, but this story by Tomasi and Gleason is something very special. We don't get to enjoy these types of issues as often as we would like, and it is always bitter sweet when we do.
March 13, 2013 6:05 pm Pick of the year so far. Maybe I'm too sentimental but this was far from your average weekly pick up. Gleason should have all of the panels listed this week. Visuals were stunning. Just a brilliant issue. The silence was louder than any dialogue could ever hope to be. Heartbreaking as a father.
March 13, 2013 12:54 pm HA. @WheelHands that is hilarious. While I love his covers, I do agree with you on all points. His Women look like dudes, and his Charles Atlas version of Superman and Shazam is not to my tastes. I'd take Adan Hughes covers over Ross' anyday..... Still loving this series, and I certainly won't complain about having him on covers of a Star Wars series....
March 6, 2013 7:52 pm Very nice. I could not have happier with the end of this run.
March 5, 2013 4:06 pm Initially I only bought #1, but a slow week last week convinced me to buy 2,3,4 and they were fantastic. better than anything in ASM over the past 12 months ( not inculding 700 ) Cant wait for this issue
March 5, 2013 3:50 pm I prefer to keep politics and beliefs out of my hobbies, but in this instance DC should have been more responsible and diligent with they're choice of writers While Mr. Cards views and belliefs are within his rights to voice; he and anyone who employs him must realize that we as the buying public also have rights to voice our displeasure with one of our moral heroes being protrayed by a person who avidly presents a message of hate, and prejudice for anyone wo will listen. I do not want my Superman to have Mr. Cards voice, and I do not want a company I support to employ individuals whose personnal message to this world is one that fights equallity and basic human rights. That is not Superman, and that apparently is not Chris Sprouse.
March 1, 2013 8:14 am BradLWoods3 you should check out the Absoute Batman & Robin ( just came out a month ago). Dick as Bats, and Damian as his Robin. It's my favorite period of the Grant Morrison Bat Epic.
February 28, 2013 2:55 pm I fluked into a copy of this for $20 recently...Was really excited
