June 17, 2013 9:41 pm WilliamTrinity: The writers have given Lex Luthor a perfect "in" into the series. He funds the rebuilding of Metropolis from what it was and into the City of Tomorrow (with his 200-story tall LexCorp Tower at the heart of the city), all the while decrying Superman's reckless actions that cost hundreds of thousands of lives (never admiting that Superman literally saved the world) and fermenting xenophobia towards the alien who deigns himself a god. Luthor needs to be the epitome of ruthlessness and cunning... and not a real estate scam artist. Never again.
June 16, 2013 1:31 pm TiQuinn: Brainiac WAS in the movie in all but name. Remember the giant, AI controlled, somewhat skull-shaped, Kryptonian warship that fought Superman using cybernetic tentacles it shoots out of its "head" in India? I just rolled with that being Brainiac's ship and it was awesome.
June 12, 2013 4:05 pm So is that DCnU's Nuclear Man? Unfortunately, I thought everything was fairly uninteresting in this issue, outside of Lex, who's always fun to read.
June 12, 2013 3:23 pm Not feeling this anymore. If the last 2 pages had featured the death of someone even remotely important or interesting, it would have been something... at this point I just want Kirkman to kill off Rick and jump 10 years ahead and feature a grown-up Carl and some sort of rebuilding of civilization.
June 10, 2013 9:38 pm Please hire Grant Morrison to write Lex Luthor's dialogue...
May 31, 2013 2:57 pm Pug reflects real-world war profiteers/mongers. These people don't parade around in colorful costumes proclaiming to be super villains, they just prolong outdated wars, start new illegal wars only for profit, traffic drugs abroad while waging a war on drugs domestically and much more. I wonder what Nick Fury would think about the unwinnable and never-ending "War on Terror?" This book brings up some very uncomfortable truths about the world, and that's one reason its so terrific.
May 25, 2013 5:35 pm Every DC movie should look like Young Justice or else we'll get another Superman: Unbound or VS The Elite.
May 22, 2013 10:20 pm No, sir. I didn't like it. I didn't even care about the Others in the Black Manta arc when Ivan Reis was drawing them. Can't wait to get back to the main story and see what this ancient sea king white walker is all about.
May 16, 2013 11:55 pm Brad is right. Multiple artists on a book is a huge peeve of mine, but I can hardly tell where Chang ends and Sudzuka begins.
