September 1, 2011 10:30 pm I think we can all acknowledge that the book wasn't amazing, but it was solid. Also, I think I'm looking at it from the point of view of a seasoned comic book reader, and this isn't really what DC was going for. The book was written with an eye towards grasping the new reader. Whether it did it or not remains to be seen. I will say that my cousin, who is only a very casual comic book reader, really enjoyed the issue, and is going to buy some more books next week, and at the end of the day that's all you can really ask for.
September 1, 2011 10:23 pm Sounds awesome. I am picking up a lot of books through comixology, including the day, and date release, but there was something about the buzz that made me want to Midtown comics, which is 1 block from my job to soak in all the excitement. I did however get the combo pack, and read it on my ipad after redeeming the code.

August 25, 2011 11:56 am T-U-R-T-L-E Power! Awesome stuff. The origin of April O'Neill is interesting. I've never read the 80's TMNT series so all I know about April is tha she wears a yellow jumpsuit, and she's a reporter. Was she also a reporter in the original Eastman run? The issues takes me back to the movie as well with Raphael being the rogue turtle. Good stuff. I'm hoping all my childhood favorites show up; the Rat King, Bebop, Rocksteady, and Krang to name a few!
August 15, 2011 10:46 am I like the "Top Pulls" on the home page. I'm really not a fan of the scroll within the scroll in the middle of the page, but I'm sure I can adapt. I do like the photo that now accompanies each article on the homepage. Nice Touch.
August 11, 2011 10:44 pm First thing that popped into my mind is; Are you supposed to know all these different variations of vampires? I'm assuming that's where the story is going with the uber vampire reveal on the last page. If so, I'm loving it. Stellar Sean Murphy art as well!
August 11, 2011 10:39 pm Great issue. Fantastic Emma Rios art. I don't think I've ever read an issue where Cloak, and Dagger where the main protagonist, but this was very solid. Excited to see where Spencer takes this. I Spencer I trust.
August 11, 2011 10:37 pm I've been in love with Slott's recent issues, which is why this first issue sort of fell flat. I'm sure it will ramp up, but this issue didn't seem to raise the stakes.
June 14, 2011 11:12 am Those preview pages look awesome! I want my Marvel cosmic back!
June 9, 2011 10:23 am I like the name All-Star Western. It's very catchy, and I'll give the book a try b/c of Palmiotti.

Grifter looks cool so I'll give it a try at least. The other books I know very little about aside from OMAC.
