January 17, 2012 12:04 am Oh that Wolverine... just can't stop getting caught up in love triangles.
January 13, 2012 5:20 pm I want to be excited for this, but... not going to get my hopes up. To me, Smallville was just too much of a cheesy teen soap opera. Ollie is one of my favorite characters, so I'll still check it out... if it makes it to TV.
December 20, 2011 3:33 am A commented on Youtube pointed that out this morning. That totally is the Robin "R," but we'll just have to see if Nolan is messing with us.
December 6, 2011 12:59 am Maybe I'm nuts, but I think Ollie is a great character. I feel like editorial wanted to just copy what they did on Smallville, and this book has been so bland. I mean, he's a flawed character with plenty of built in conflict due to his brash personality, yet that has been missing for years. I'd like to see a fresh new talent writing this book. Probably would sell like shit, but at least it would be a bold move. Other than the O'Neil/Adams and Grell runs, Green Arrow has been pretty stagnant. Green Arrow works better when he is more Errol Flyn and less brooding douche with Oakley's. Believe me, I'm cringing at the fanboyish nature of my own post here, but I think we all have that one character we love... even though we know it's ridiculous.
November 30, 2011 7:20 pm This is my X-Mas gift to myself this year. Feels like I just finished reading this run, and yet I don't think I've ever been this excited for a book to arrive in the mail.
November 29, 2011 7:13 pm Interesting article. Not to sound morbid, but it's not like you can take your comics with you when you die. Yet, I still have X-Force issues from the early 90's which I will never read again, taking up space for some reason. It's hard to say for me what recent comics I still will treasure in the future. Personally, I do get enjoyment occasionally from leafing through my McFarline Spider-man 300 I had to hunt down as a kid. Or my original issues of Batman Year One that I also spent years searching for in local shops. Comics are just "stuff," but for me certain musty old single issues bring back memories.
November 22, 2011 2:11 am Very cool Josh. I am absolutely going to read this. Added bonus, we had an astro van going up. Looking forward to this.
November 9, 2011 6:22 pm If anyone hasn't seen it, there is a good Suicide Squad episode of the Justice League Unlimited cartoon written by Darwin Cooke. Great article by the way. Love the scans.
November 9, 2011 6:16 pm Did that really boost sales for those books or just cause a lot of chatter?
November 8, 2011 10:11 pm That is a great point. I remember really enjoying that issue of Batman INC that took place on an Indian reservation because it was such a contrast to what one usually finds in a superhero book setting.
