July 19, 2011 11:04 pm so the project with those two might still be happening. I'm glad it worked out with him and those two. ( if I think it's what I'm thinking)
July 15, 2011 8:18 pm To me Yuku Shimizu is the proper Vertigo successor of cover art to James Jean.
June 23, 2011 3:16 am No, it wasn't the Lady of the Lake. Just as their are great powers in Mr. Dark, and the North Wind, Hope is also a Great Power. You saw Hope talking to Rose Red, and she was Colin the Pig talking to Snow originally in the end of Animal Farm.
June 7, 2011 3:08 am to Ifanboys. I apologize for my tone, and understand if its not to your liking. I just get a little upset by the fact that Simone to me is a very fan-favorite writer, and I wish that books that may once in a while need a plug get it. I appreciated that your team covered Xombi, as this book is exactly what a magic DC book should be. I just like my Secret Six, and Gail Simone is all.

I understand Ifanboy's boredom with some of the DC line, as I've been there done that with a line too. I really don't know either if a Simone Firestorm title can survive, but it is my opinion that as long as she is on the book, the book will be safe. It wasn't until she left book that title was cancelled. The same goes for the time she first left Birds of Prey.

And right now,  Josh, I'm one of the Internet minority who buys all things DC and some Image, and is probably going to drop all Marvel Titles once SHIELD, Secret Warriors, Young Avengers, and Alpha Flight end. I really feel like there was nothing left for me at Marvel once Brian K. Vaughan left and Iron Fist was cancelled. To each his own, but after many years of reading, and starting out only with Marvel, I'm now mostly bored with the company.
June 6, 2011 2:50 am I almost feel like you three have some sort of gripe with Gail Simone or something by the disdain you talk about Firestorm, and in other episodes, Secret Six. I really like your podcast, but it just seems petty to me to complain about books I  know you three won't even take a crack to review yourselves.
June 2, 2011 12:01 am I can see why they called this World of Flashpoint, instead of Traci 13. I was refreshed by the fact that despite the haters, this is a female-friendly book. Take note.
May 11, 2011 1:35 am Try Villains United. That's the first intro to the Six, and then you'll have to look for Six Degrees of Devastation. That one is harder though, because its out of stock.
April 15, 2011 1:38 am actually this is shimizu's second nomination. She lost last year to JH Williams III.
March 31, 2011 12:27 am I like the new character a lot. Playing her as the anti-Raven is refreshing. It's good to have a very positive-minded character for however long. I am drawn by the baddies in this issue, as I can tell they're basing the images on their depicted images. It's interesting to see Hindu demons represented, and I'm interested to see what new wrinkle Solstice brings to the team.
March 28, 2011 2:20 am Hi Jonathan and Jon, its a pleasure to ask you a question.
I wanted to know if we're going to return to Leonid in S.H.I.E.L.D. I really this perspective character and wanted to know if his larger purpose to the organization will be revisited.

And I wanted to shout-out how glad I get to see Christina Strain doing the coloring. I really find her to be a really nice person, and I'm really amazed in the tonal shifts that she is able to achieve with Dustin.
