SDCC 2011: Brian K. Vaughan Is Coming to San Diego. What Is He Bringing With Him?

As reported by Robot 6, Brian K. Vaughan is slated to make an appearance at Image Comics' "Creator-Owned Comics With Robert Kirkman" panel on Saturday afternoon in San Diego. According to the panel description, the event will offer a series of major announcements. chief among those is likely a new project from the author of Y: The Last Man and Ex Machina, whose absence from the comics industry has left so many of us with an acute sensation of profound loss just posterior to our gall bladder. Nobody braves the crowds and contamination of SDCC without some sort of obligation, so it seems unlikely that BKV is just stopping by for a retrospective.

It's a forgone conclusion. Vaughan is returning to comics for a new series of cliffhangers. We don't know what form it will take or how long it will last, but we'll be keeping an eye on that panel come 3PM on Saturday.

Will it be about yetis?

A man who enjoys a second life as a Mayan priestess during hallucinatory experiences on a wooden roller coaster?

A girl whose imaginary friends must rescue her from an abduction by her father's corrupt cop partner?

Is it about how Pez is made?

Find out this weekend.
