I think I'm slipping away from my "only buy the essentials" comic philosophy. Or maybe there are just a lot of good books out right now. Either way, this is hurting my poor college student wallet.

Thank goodness we're only stuck with Bachalo for a few issues. The same problems that were with X-Men have cropped up here. All the other artists they've had on since BND started have kept the same look and feel. Bachalo, not so much. Peter looks like a high schooler again.

April 2, 2008 2:26 pm Not a bad issue, but not much really happened. Having half the issue devoted to the uninteresting tale of Bishop's return really hampered things. I liked the art for the most part, but a few panels gave Cable old man neck fat, which was disturbing.

April 2, 2008 2:23 pm I'm worried that I'm going to be the only one that didn't like this so very much. The whole thing just seemed to lack cohesiveness. Everything was a little too scattered and seemed forced. And the whole thing with Bendis saying he was going to show all his cards in the first issue... what answers were we given exactly? I finished this issue feeling very confused, rather than very excited.
