January 16, 2013 3:28 pm A few podcasts ago it was mentioned that the trio didn't understand how sales could be up thanks to digital comics. Well, My nearest comic shop is an hour away. Thanks to digital I never miss an issue and don't have to drive an hour. When you only get to the shop three to four times a year you're not going to be picking up an ongoing storyline if you don't know what's going on. Reasons why digital is better than physical. 1. Easier to introduce new readers to comics because they swipe to next panel instead of people taught how a comic "reads". 2. When living abroad all you need for english comics is a wifi connection. 3. When visiting Spain this February, new comic day is still wednesday, not the week after I get back. 4. When looking for an issue I want to read it's three clicks away not four miles away buried in a storage locker... somewhere... 5. When renovations are done on my house moving my comic collection back in will require lifting one pound of weight instead of four hundred. 6. Beautiful art is backlit and can be zoomed in on. Especially useful for old guys like me who like their panels to be huge.
January 8, 2013 5:50 pm You can't diss something until you give it a chance? He was just fed a shit sandwich and is saying he didn't like it. Now you want him to try the dessert before proclaiming he didn't like the shit sandwich? "its like saying The New Superman Film is shit cause the trailer looked bad." No, it's like him seeing the New Superman Film and saying he didn't like it. And you telling him his opinion is wrong until he sees Superman 2.
December 7, 2012 10:37 am Totally Agree with the review. I thought the art was horrible and the writing felt like a parody. I loved Hickman on FF but this just seems to bad so far.
December 6, 2012 9:25 am I know I'm in the minority but this issue did less than nothing for me. The Hulk is drawn like Arnold Schwarzenneger. Not the Conan version but the Governor. Hulk looked like an aging, out of shaoe body-builder, skin hanging off of once great muscles. Hulk looked more gaunt than powerful. Captain America delivered some extremly cheesy worthless throwaway lines that were intended to show he'll never give up? I thought his abilities were tactics, martial arts, agility, etc but instead he throws his sheild once then gets punched in the face repeated while continuing to reiterate he'll never give up. Cliche much? Hulk is brainwashed into thinking Thor believes he is stronger than the Hulk. Never seen that before either... Iron man is taken down because his suit, which can survive space and deep water depths somehow doesn't know how to seal itself... What?
October 31, 2012 11:48 am Totallly agree with Mike and Sonorous. Wally is far more interesting than Barry ever was or will be. They should have left Barry and Hal dead. Their replacements were just better characters.
October 23, 2012 12:48 pm They should have given Ted Kord the Blue Beetle scarab power. They missed a golden opportunity. Lovable loserish guy gets serious power upgrade. Who wouldn't want to read that?
September 24, 2012 11:58 am I would buy this book in a heartbeat if the Blue Beetle was Ted Kord. It would have made a much more interesting character to have perennial loser and former Blue Beetle, gain access to incredible power. I think it sucked when they killed him.
July 27, 2012 10:52 am How des this look interesting or exciting? Without the flight at the end it looks like *anything BU* a Superman movie. Superman needs to hitchhike? Really? Superman on a fishing boat? Who wants to see that? Seriously, the thing you think lacking from the Superman comics/movies/mythos is manual labor? Really.... Okay the. You guys go be excited, I'll be over here waiting for the non deadbeat dad, non fisherman, non hitchhiking Superman.
June 12, 2012 2:34 pm I've really enjoyed this so far. Both art and story have been excellent. Nice reveal about how the Zodiac could stand toe to toe with Thor and Hulk last issue.
June 4, 2012 11:37 am I think Gambit won the fight, just the author decided that Cap is apparently impervious to his costume being charged up and exploding all over his chest. "What, this? It's just a flesh wound!"
