April 17, 2013 12:40 pm This is gonna be awwwwwwe-soooooooome. I'm not surprised that there is a LexCorp building in there, I'm sure there will be nods to 'ol Lex, maybe the back of a bald head as if this is Superman's "Batman Begins", then his "Dark Knight" will surely feature Lex. I'd still love to see Brainiac but I doubt they will hold off on Lex for a third film. I can't wait for this. The new Star Trek trailer finally got me excited for that movie, this trailer has be over the top. I'm already guessing this will be at least my movie of the summer.
April 15, 2013 5:52 pm Accoding to CHUD.com Disneyland has an Iron Man 3 display, so it must be an East Coast licensing thing with Universal stopping Disney World from cashing in. http://www.chud.com/132502/check-out-the-new-iron-man-3-stark-industries-exhibit-at-disneyland/
March 28, 2013 6:44 pm I love how he is writing this Claremont style. I am so in!
March 28, 2013 2:13 pm I think I'm out. Garney's art the last two issues have seemed, well different than the first, and the writing is just eh really, particularly the swearing. I can swear like a trucker sometimes myself, but it just feels weird in a X-Men comic. Too bad, I've come to realize there is no real X-Men team right now and that makes me a little sad.
March 27, 2013 1:56 pm I wouldn't be surprised if this WW II subplot and losing his powers is a rewrite. All I wanted was to see Wolvie kick some ninja ass, was that asking too much? I fear they may have screwed up what was once described as an incredible script by McQuarrie. Damn you Aaronofsky, why couldn't you have stayed on? Here's hoping I'm wrong, but this trailer does not leave me excited at all.
March 20, 2013 1:24 pm Aaaaand I'm out before I'm in. Thanks DC for saving me $3.99! I'd say they should get their sh*t together, but if sales are "good enough for them", they won't.
February 11, 2013 11:40 pm I think it is time for them to move on. Johns and even Tomasi have had great runs. Now who will take over? I'm betting Lobdell or Nicienza's names get put on a title or two. Maybe some other 80's writer too. Most of their other big guns are busy, so I don't think anyone of Johns' caliber will come on unless there's a surprise addition to the DC roster. I wonder if New Guardians and Red Lanterns will be around much longer with the change?
February 5, 2013 11:34 pm Nice, the concept of Collider sounded really cool and Oliver is a great writer. I was worried either he got too busy like when he was supposed to take over Hellblazer after Diggle left or Vertigo canned the project as they seem to not like publishing things lately.
February 1, 2013 4:03 pm I think $3.99 is way too much and they definitely need to lower the price. And stop the double-shipping, please! A comic shouldn't really be more than $2. It's a disposable medium people! Yes that would probably mean cheaper paper, but without going down to newsprint. Maybe the trades can have the better paper, so if people really want it, they can still get it. Yes, that may mean that a trade collecting 5 or 6 issues would cost $10/12 individually but the trade is $15, but at least you know you're paying more for the paper. However if more people don't start buying, that price would jump right back up, as the whole point would be to increase sales to compensate for the revenue lost due to price decrease. Of course, this will probably never happen, but hopefully it will digitally, even if it's kind of like DC's model of a month old issues go down in price.
February 1, 2013 3:57 pm Comic stores definitely should be a bit more kid friendly, but those are the second stage of "comic book addiction" if you will. Kids won't just go up to Mom and Dad and ask to go to the comic store out of the blue. They need that initial introduction, which would be news stand comics, maybe digital, but again, even digital you kind of have to find, and have a credit card to buy it, etc., so it's not kid friendly in terms of access there either.
