I’ve not been much of a fan of the Ultimates. I read Vol. 1 and 2, and they were decent…

I’ve not read a lot of Superman comics. Pretty much just All-Star Superman and Geoff Johns’ run on Action. Both…

I will admit that I was going to drop this. What with the DC reboot and other expenses, I need…

November 9, 2011 4:41 pm My LCS had it for $2.99, and at that price it's a great deal. And really out of the six stories 4 of them were pretty good. And really only the Ultron one at the end felt like they just took a few pages out of that story and threw them in this. Over all I feel like even if I had payed full price I got my money's worth out of it.
November 7, 2011 5:30 pm If each one is more like Ultimate Fallout, where they set up plot points or gave a taste of what the new story will be like, but it's not necessary to enjoy the first issue, I'm all in. But if they're just taking excerpts from the future tiles, count me out.
October 26, 2011 5:55 pm I can't say I understand why people have thought she was a device that could bring back the previous DCU. They've gone head first in to the New 52, there's no going back. And even if they did what would that mean? No classic Vertigo Characters, no Wildstorm and the classic costumes? I just don't see why you need a device to do that. You just stop using the characters and you draw the classic costumes. Cause honestly, on a fundamental level, it still feels like DC. It's not like they changed the universe very dramatically. She always seemed to me to be the Anti-Moniter turning into the Black Lantern at the end of the Sinestro Corps War, just a link from one event to the next.
October 6, 2011 7:47 pm I'm not quite sure I understand where you're coming from with when you say that fans of the previous characterizations won't like these. Tim is very much the same one we left in Red Robin, and Bart is a bit more back to basics with his characterization. And I mean all the way back to Impulse. Cassie I will admit is different, the old one would probably not steal a car, but we also haven't seen enough to think that she is completely different.

August 23, 2011 10:12 am So I guess we're not getting the action packed 'season' finally on Batman INC? That books not coming back till 2012 right? And new TMNT, I can't wait. BQ: A Fort Worth Cats baseball cap.
July 15, 2011 10:14 am I think Peter fakes his death to protect his family. I'm calling it, the new Spiderman is just Peter but with dyed hair and a new identity. And either Nick Fury or SHEILD had some hand in it.
July 6, 2011 8:13 pm I really want a year one for Thomas Wayne's Batman, really explore the whole thing. I'm loving this whole event.

It seems to me like there were two really awesome movies that were intertwined to make one. There's the one about Parallax, it's threat to Oa and the universe, and Sinestro's corruption, and one about Hal's struggle with his past and acceptance of his role as a Green Lantern. When they mixed them together they cut out most of the background, motivations, and character development of both. This left us with one movie that seemed to jump back and forth way to much trying to do everything and accomplishing little. But at moments it became the amazing movie it could have been. Hopefully they'll learn from the mistakes of this movie if they make a sequel.

June 15, 2011 4:04 pm I'm most disappointed about losing Red Robin and Steph as Batgirl. They were constantly among the best books DC put out every month.

Batman Beyond I'm not as disappointed by, mostly because it never really seemed to find it's own voice. It was too wrapped up in trying to merge the shows continuity with the regular universe and ended up not really being in either. If any book needs to start from square one, this is it.
