I imagine this will be a comic that people will either love or hate. If you wanted a one-and-done story, with a lot of panels on each page and a lot of reading time for your 2.99, than this is the comic for you.

On the other hand, I can see how someone might object to the fact that it is so wordy. In particular, throughout this story, citing a newspaper article describing the events is used as a narrative. This does not work very well, and if you focus all your attention on that, then this comic will annoy you.

My thoughts were a little more “Ok, they tried something, it didn’t work,” and I just focused on the rest of the book, which has a really basic, but good Superman story. It describes Superman’s world and supporting cast, showcases all his powers and gives you the feeling that something new is happening. It’s fun and will keep you entertained for quite a while.
