What a fantastic start to this series! James Robinson and Nicola Scott hit the ground running and don’t let up. The art is a feast for eyes begging the reader to go back and take another look. The reader is dropped into the frantic action at its climax and deftly lays out the history of this world. We get a chance to see how different this world is while still seeing familiar archetypes deal with the global threat. Interspersed in the action are introduction to some of the traditional residents of Earth 2 such as Alan Scott and Jay Garrick. Though we are only given a glimpse of these characters, I am already more interested in this world than the new 52 one. Nicola Scott’s art really shines here and displays the ability to do great widescreen action. I’m in for the long haul!

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
