What a fantastic start to this series! James Robinson and Nicola Scott hit the ground running and don’t let up….

March 21, 2013 9:29 pm Sad thing about Demon Knights is that it is selling less that 14,000 copies and several titles that were doing better than that have already been axed. I think its a dead-man walking.
March 21, 2013 8:24 pm As has been mentioned, its time to vote with my wallet. I have 9 DC titles that I am going to drop. Some will be painful. Most will be not. I want creators to come up with a great story idea and have editorial work to make that story work within the overall universe not an editor with a story and a human typewriter to pound it out. I have been reading comics for 30+ years and consider myself a DC guy. I am not really in love with the new 52 but I understood that DC needed to freshen things up. Whatever good will they built up with their bold step to reboot has been washed away with this editorial nightmare. I'll add titles from others to fill the gap. I wish there was another way but the only power I have is what I buy. Perhaps if enough people do this, there might be a change. If, as has also been said, DC is merely the paper pamphlets to keep their movie properties in the public eye, then it doesn't matter what happens in the comics and things will continue to stumble along.
March 19, 2013 10:55 pm I saw this 'elsewhere' and gave it a try. Immediately went to the actual site and downloaded it from the creators and threw 3 bucks their way. Really enjoying the world concept. Some awesome elements to play with. Got a 'Strange Days' vibe from this one but like the power of the press. Can't wait for next issue!
October 10, 2012 10:50 pm I really enjoyed that Peter had a cool job that allowed him to do his Spider-Man stuff and his life was going well but still had complications. If the story has a plan then I will stick around to see if I like where its going. Everyone cried when Azrael replaced Bruce as Batman but that story had a point and things returned to more of a status quo once the story was complete. Hopefully Superior Spider-Man is a nice contained storyline and they will restart Amazing Spider-Man in time for the next movie.
October 10, 2012 10:32 pm Hopefully Cornell gets another mainstream gig but given his leaving of Stormwatch and now Demon Knights, he might be another casualty of heavy-handed editorial control. As for Van Sciver, can he do a monthly book? Weren't the Rebirth books plagued with delays? Can he cope with this 'must ship on time' mandate at DC?
August 23, 2012 2:42 pm They made Bob Harras the Editor in Chief. He was the one that was helming the ship at Marvel when the clone saga was dragged on and micro-managed the X-Men books and pissed off Mark Waid. DC has the sales increases so they'll keep spinning the plates and grinding through their talent as long as the numbers stay up. When they start to drop you'll see a change in strategy but for now, what's their impetus for change? I'm not going to miss Liefeld on the books but I don't see this trend at DC changing until sales drop below pre-Flashpoint numbers.
July 19, 2012 12:22 am This issue was good but I, too, miss Rivera on art. Samnee is good but his work just seems darker. Perhaps heavier line work. The story is darker as well but I think they should have gone with someone more in line with the previous artist to match the tone that had already been set. Story was good except Tony arriving that fast seemed a little too convenient. Overall, a good issue but not the home runs of the early issues. This was probably a triple. :)
July 19, 2012 12:08 am I thought that story was a good initial outing but a bit strange that it doesn't really offer much of a hook to keep going. Many people can bail after the first and they really haven't missed much. I found the art to be too heavily inked for my tastes and some issues with the storytelling were a bit rough but this is the guy's first work so I'm willing to give him a bit of time to settle in. As for KSD's story, the fight at the beginning was a little forced but I thought the quieter moments really shone through. I am giving Kelly the 6 issues to hook me. If she hasn't by then, I think I have given her a fair shot.
