This is an absolute Fuck Yeah comic. Robinson’s written a first issue that makes me wish The New 52 had been entirely based on this Earth. Giant threat? Check. Big Three Superpeople in peril? Check. Relatives of Super Three established? Check. Consequences to non-supers? Check. Nikola Scott making really busy panels that make you want to, as opposed to need to, reread every page? Check.

It’s a little narration box heavy at the beginning, but Robinson makes it payoff by the end. I’d be surprised if this didn’t end up as my PoTW.

  1. Dang, this must be good for you to like it this much. I thing Robinson has been doing a great job on the Shade – but his JLA was pretty bland so I was a little worried about this. But I knew Nicola Scott (thankfully away from JT Krul) would be a huge step up from Mark Bagley.

  2. Got this today on a whim, & what whim it turned out to be great stuff all-round!

    Defo my POTW!!!!!

  3. Oh man, I’m excited as a puppy presented with a treat! 😀

  4. YES. PotW for me although Daredevil was great as well.
