  1. Beautiful but honestly….I’m getting pretty tired of Jordan, or any GL’s at that matter, wearing a different ring.

  2. I may peek at this on the stands, but I think I’ve switched to trades for GL.

  3. Color me green but I am still loving this series.

  4. Funky fun stuff!

  5. I’m still having fun with this.

  6. I picked up Green Lantern #64, but passed on the other GL titles. How confused will I be, do you think?

  7. @okc  Not much happened in GLC and GL: EW, so I think you should be okay for now. All you really need to know is that Hal and Guy fought. However,  I do think that the 3 series will flow together more towards the end of the story, so you might not be able to get away with skipping some.

  8. Excited to see the boys slip on some new rings. Bring on Blue Kyle.

  9. Bout time part 4 hits stands, DC has weird scheduling when it comes to the GL books, why not spread the 3 over the course of the month instead pretty much all at once?

  10. man, with a little distance from the event. i can’t help but think aboout how disappoint Blackest Night was. Every plot twist or reveal in that series seemed to be all about putting the heroes in different costumes. It looks like the trend continues here

  11. *disappointing

  12. Well if we are switching costumes again and thats the point of this then what an F@#%king waste! It has started out as not to bad of a story line and well I have always been a GL fan especially Hal I will hang in there.

    K

  13. @Flash923  Such intensity.

  14. @okc All you missed in Emerald Warriors was this:

  15. I still love Green Lantern.

  16. I’m really hopping that after all this war of GL is over that it ends with a MASSIVE simplification of the GL universe. I just feel like i’m over this multi-colored rings battling all over the universe and im REALLY over the guardians in general. Just wipe it all clean throw Hal back on earth and have him fight bad guys there and have some non complicated fun. Forget about the guardians and all this color spectuam/enitities stuff. Just my two cents.

  17. @thompsonlive I like the addition of the multi-colored corps… just let them alone for a year or so and do other stories. Then mix them back in as the story demands. I feel the biggest problem with the last year of GL is that the mandate — describe all the entities and prepare the multiple corps for this war of GL — came before the story and the characters. Throwing the entire Universe at a story almost never works. And if you do that every issue, what exactly are you going to do for your big up-the-stakes stories?

  18. @Sasquattch
    so am I.

  19. @CaseyJustice:  all for Blue Kyle & even Red Guy, but Indigo John?

  20. @PozrDu: What color would you give John, if it had to be something other than green?

  21. Addicted to these stories. Full of Win!

  22. To be fair, a change of costume color in the Green Lantern world is rather significant. At least more significant than a costume change outside the Green Lantern world.

  23. @jimbilly4 yeah I agree. I actually really enjoyed the multi color rings too at first but now i just feel completely burned out on this huge scale stuff I just want something simple and fun from green lantern at least for awhile anyway. Except for the guardians they should just be killed off completely I hate the whole idea of having them around in general.

  24. @sakuuya – Was thinking about this before… maybe Violet, if they let dudes in. He was all about his lady there for a while… is there a Guilt Lantern?

Also, does anyone else find it hilarious that the Compassion Lantern is wearing army fatigues?

  25. @thompsonlive: My prediction for the GL Universe post War of the GL — no more guardians.  By which I mean, no more blue little Oan guys.  I believe the guardians have outlived their usefulness and Johns will kill off all but Ganthet.  This will create a vaccuum and the New Gaurdians will step up to fill that void, creating a political tension among the colored corps as they attempt to balance power and control and their own interests.

  26. Unless this gets back to Hal on his own bustin some chops I’m going to drop this. I know it’s a cliche but I’ve got DC event fatigue!

  27. This issue had some fun bits in it (Hal and Guy in the ship was my fav), but for the most part it was pretty uneventful. I thought part one of GL War (GL #64) was awesome, but since then the air’s kinda been slowly going out of this event.

  28. @JimBilly4 100% agree, great post.

As for this issue(and the corps. issue) I agree with Wheelhands uneventful but still overall enjoyable. I hope the next 4 issues really condense the plot so we can get something worthwhile(like the end of the New Guardians arc).

  29. @CaseyJustice  kinda got annoyed with stewart being the only one wearin his marines suit.haha.why couldn’t he be like the rest and wear his normal gl suit but colored differently.super annoying.haha

  30. I agree with WheelHands, I liked part one a lot but since then each issue has been too uneventful.  I still like the story and have never gotten tired of the different corps but with the 2 issues this week we are 5 issues into the crossover with maybe a little over 2 issues of story progression.  I think there are 5 issues left so here’s hoping the pace picks up.

  31. Just not into this story in any way. None of the three writers (or artists) are bringing their top game.

  32. I fell so far with the new Gl that I stopped buying single issues. I am busy collecting them as TPB instead. I cant help but be excited about GL and the Movie and FLASHPOINT!!!!! Woooohooo

  33. Well, my first question is this:  why is John’s Indigo suit a set of fatigues…but his GL suit isn’t?  Everyone else’s uniform mirrored their GL duds…

Second, I liked the issue, but echo the sentiments of those who feel that the Skittles Brigade thing is being overplayed a bit.

Third, I’m worried about Kyle’s future.  Like, REALLY worried. Does anyone else thing he’s headed for some tragic end at the conclusion of all of this?

  34. I jumped onto this series after reading the awesome Black Hand story that preluded Blackest Night. Other than the orange lantern story, no issue has been anywhere near as good as that one. I’m dropping as of this issue. Moneys is tight.

  35. For those of you hankerin’ for the space cop thing, this is your issue.

    great stuff!

  36. I have a question though. Where did parts 2 and 3 or War of the GLS go? Last month’s GL was part 1…

  37. @JNewcomb  Part two was in Green Lantern Corps. part three was in Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors.

  38. Dang, I didn’t know. Did I miss a big chunk? Felt like I did a little until some exposition about the guys being able to get the rings off in time and stuff.

Should I go back and get those or is the story complete without those issues?

  39. I need a break from all out action and massive crossovers…a little charecter work would be good. What’s happened to Hal, it’s all GL. One crisis after another without a pause for breath. Still good, but getting hard work

  40. @JNewcomb – Nah, you’re fine without ’em. The good guys fought each other for a while, then they stopped. Also, Ganthet’s hand fell off.

  41. i think this whole story is just okay! i mean we just had a big thing with the GL’s with blackest night! really just want a good hal jordan storyline

  42. I like this story so far (red guy most of all) but when and why did Krona shrink

  43. I’m with boogied. DC has been fueled by events for the past few years and, while GL tends to run more towards the Epic scale, I’d like to see some more character-centric stories across the board with DC. I’ve recently jumped the ship back to Marvel for that fix with Spidey.

  44. Well, I don’t know if it’s just my interpretation but this feels very much like a Hal Jordan space cop to me. He’s on the run from the law for trying to do the right thing. It’s a very straight-forward and standard story.

I’m enjoying a great deal. Doesn’t feel like an event to me because it’s just in one family of books. It’s marketed sort of like an event but you can blame the story for the marketing can you?

  45. That’s a lot of inkers, wow! Also, from the quick scene in the ship, is Guy an alcoholic?

  46. Though I’m still into the series, I think this War of the Green Lanterns story line has been weak. Why not some standalone books to hold us over until the next event takes place? I have a feeling after reading this book that maybe one of the 4 core GL’s will switch teams. Maybe Kyle will turn permanently Blue?

  47. @TexasZombie99 I don’t think so.  I think he was just excited that the ship offered him a drink and was testing what he could actually get.  Thats how I read it, but I could be wrong though.  I’m not a Green Lantern expert.

  48. @TexasZombie99: Guy’s probably borderline to be honest. But I don’t think that’s what’s going on here. Hal just doesn’t want him drinking at this particular juncture. Kinda imporant mission going on. Especially considering that ten minutes from that scene Guy’s donning a red ring. Can you imagine how disasterous that would’ve been. Booze and rage are a bad combo.
