  1. The clothes-line logo is stuff of brilliance.

    • Holy crap. That’s great

    • Very “Will Eisner, The Spirit” kinda brilliance.

    • I did not even notice that. Good spot!

    • Wow, I didn’t even notice that, Samnee just keeps getting better and better.

    • Lovely.

    • Clever cover.

    • Ghostmann, you got a superpower man for spotting this! 0_o

Or you just read so many comics for so long… ;P

    • G1mp, I’m always on the look out for subliminal messages. You ever listen to “Stairway” backwards? Spooky shit man. 😉

    • Hahahaha yeah… I’m a bit too young for that! ;P

    • G1mp, one is never too young to “Get the Led out” my friend. Start with Zeppelin II and from there go to the classic number IV album (which features the aforementioned “Stairway to Heaven”) – by that time you will be ready to go back to Zeppelin III and enjoy that record’s mellower tunes, but then jump forward again to Houses of the Holy. By now you will well versed in all things Zeppelin and be able to appreciate the rawness and naivete of Zeppelin I. Then after all that there is still Physical Graffiti and Presence to listen to – but by this time the group had lost some of its earlier edge and with the exception of the occasional Kashmir and Nobodys Fault But Mine, most of the tunes fall short.

      Got it? Good. =)

    • +1 on the Zeppelin reccomenmendation. Awesome, awesome band; one of the best ever.

    • I grew up with Led Zep in the house, my mom is a big fan so I know most of the “hits” but it never quite clicked with me.

But, I promise to give your recommendation a try, sometimes the less popular songs are better than the hits! 🙂

I dropped this but picked up the two issues I missed on a light pull week and thought why the heck did I drop it for? But lesson learned it’s back on pull list.

  3. I need to know who is behind everything. Plus…Am I the only one who really wants Kirsten back?

  4. My subscription ends soon, but I can see buying the trades.

This is some truly great DD.

  5. Samnee is really killing it lately with the covers.

So I’m going to assume Foggy is going to kick the bucket? Seems like Waid is a bit of a bastard to do that.

Double sized Extravaganza!!!! Who’s doing the variant? Is it Marcos Martin?

This is going to be one of the covers of the week.

    It is known.

  8. Take my money Take my money Take my money Take my money Take my money Take my money Take my money Take my money Take my money Take my money Take my money Take my money Take my money Take my money Take my money Take my money

  9. Double sized? Well that’s pretty sweet. This series has been great; I jumped on at #23 and am currently hunting down back issues. There is a big warehouse type sale in Calgary this weekend where I’m hoping to snag a few 🙂

  10. Double sized issue?! It really doesn’t get better than this, I can’t wait.

  11. Who doesn’t like an ‘EXTRA-vanagnza’? I’m glad whoever wrote that wasn’t in charge of the clothes line – Chris Samnee is sooo good.

  12. Holy cow, this was so good! The backup made me both smile and weep. And it had a little Samnee Easter egg. 😀

  13. JML (@twitter.com/JoshMLabelle) says:

This was magnificent. Pick of my week by far.

  14. Only book I read… But very hard to imagine a stronger candidate for my POTW coming along.
    Wow! Instant classic issue!!

  15. Once again Waid, Samnee, and Co. delivered the goods. From start to finish I was completely engrossed. The opening scene got me right away, just when I thought Matt was being paranoid, BAM! Benson goes full creep mode.

The back-up, with it’s changing art styles, showcased what a superb artist Samnee is. Likewise Waid crafted a poignant and affecting tale, that really hit the mark.

  16. Well this was just amazing. If the issue was just this short story on Foggy I would have made it my pick. Seriously, that back up was so damn emotional and the way Samnee draws the children’s story was spot on. (Both in the kid’s handwriting and then in how Foggy dreams it up) But the overall story in here, with the reveal of the big baddie, was fantastic. I love how unnerved Matt is and that panel with the plant in the elevator really made me jump! Overall this series is really back to where it was when Rivera was the artist. Waid is doing a masterful job here and Samnee is finally on top form for this book. It took a while but now I can’t imagine anyone else but Samnee on here and thank god for that.

    5/5 (POTW)

  17. Can’t wait to read this issue! But man, I’m still waiting for the constantly delayed #23… I have 24, 25 and 26 lying around here, but it’ll take till june till I can finally read ’em… 🙁

  18. Wow, a 4.9 rating after 24 hours, with this many pulls, is pretty damn impressive.

  19. I pretty much called the reveal. The ‘Norman Osborn’ is not shocking or dramatic anymore, but Waid and Samnee are such masters at this craft, it becomes a whole event.

  20. Great issue.
    Great cover.
    Great backup story.
Couldn’t help rolling my eyes when they discovered the mystery villain’s identity. If Foggy connected the names with a series of arrows would DD be going after Hawkguy?

  21. Avatar photo consafo80 (@consafo80) says:

Liked the main story gave that a 4 but the backup kicked it up to a 5 for me. Very close to my pick of the week if it wasn’t for Green Lantern.

  22. WOW! the last page in this book with those last few panels of Foggy, the doctor, Iron Man and the kids alone made this book POTW for me. I’m really enjoying this book. It has been amazing since the first issue!

  23. Anyone else notice that Samnee drew Thor in the backup like he drew him in Thor: The Mighty Avenger? That made me smile.

  24. Very awesome issue. I loved how they revealed who was behind everything in the hospital. And that backup story was great with the kids and Iron Man. Like others have said I think it was better than the main story.
