  1. I feel like this Zero issue origin is the most forced. The batwoman series from last year already covered her origin pretty thoroughly, i doubt they’ll change it much

  2. I think this could really develop her further. I also really like her interplay with her Dad. Im looking forward to seeing more of that!

  3. This feel’s especially pointless since I have Elegy on my bookshelf. But who knows ?

  4. I think this will cover more of the time period between Kate’s discharge from the military and her donning of the costume. Basically, the year(s) in which she was a rich girl who partied and got drunk all the time. Rucka already covered that for an issue a couple years ago, but I think JH & co. might be able to squeeze another interesting story out of it.

  5. i think it’s funny because there already was an issue 0 released a long time ago before issue 1.

  6. Man, this is easily my favourite 0 issue cover.

  7. I read Batgirl #12 with her in it and liked it alot . This will be my first ever Batwoman issue so I hope it’s good .

  8. This was cool, I forgot how awesome JHW’s flashback art style is. Don’t get me wrong, I love the regular Batwoman style; it’s just the simple lines, and old-school flavor for most this issue was a real treat. I’m excited for the WW team-up next issue.

  9. great issue – I love this series

  10. This was a great issue. It felt most “Rucka-like.” Well done.

  11. By looking at that first page, one gets taken back to one of the most intense moments in Batwoman’s life, and from there, the issue just takes off. It is so nice to revisit all those moments and learn new things about them. Williams III shows what a wide range he has as an artist; the guy is amazing.

  12. Didn’t love it, too much of a rehash of a Rucka run while at the same time not really dealing with Alice beyong a footnote. Looking forward to next issue though. Lobster Johnson was my Pick.

  13. I liked this issue a lot. It skimmed over the stuff that was in the Rucka run which was nice. But touched on it for people that never read Rucka’s run in Detective Comics. Learned some things I didn’t know about Kate.
