June 22, 2009 10:06 pm Agree that opening sequence of first issue was impossible to follow.  But beautifully illustrated, esp the part with the girl and the bear.  Northlanders is better written but the production values are so much better in this.

Are the FF British now?  It's been a while.  If not, maybe that's the solution.  With Millar, Morrison, Ennis, et al US characters already talk British or phony American anyway. Guys from New Jersey referring to their Mums and such.

June 13, 2009 2:53 pm Sorry to crowd, but just found the word for it: "tachiyomi" means "reading while standing" in Japanese and it's national tradition to do it--esp. with comics!  So if anyone hassles you you can say you're as well-mannered as the Japanese!
