March 8, 2013 10:18 pm This book feels a little choppy to me. Jumping scenesand it takes a couple panels for me to get my bearings or to decide if its a shift in time or not. Cables on a bike, then with hope, then back on a bike.
March 8, 2013 10:15 pm yeah, Riley I know what it was, the wraith said Dp7 was an iron man analoge. I remembered it being more of a mutatnt book and spitfire being the iron man analog, or at least having a robot in it. But maybe I'm crossing dp7 and psi force being a mutant analoge.
March 8, 2013 10:12 pm Yeah, i know it's hard to pin down ages. But I guess in my head, post collossus' death and her time with Wisdom and even into the headmistress spot it made her seem more mature/serious than that. I agree it was funny and thought the interaction was good, just didn't feel like kitty I had remembered reading since the 80's
March 8, 2013 10:08 pm Long time comic reader, and I read Spidey off and on. But this is the most interested i've been in Spider man since the early 80's. It's definately good to shake it up for a short time, and it not be an elseworlds story
March 7, 2013 7:45 am Was bringing in the New universe a surprise to everyone else like it was me? Well i guess they said white event last issue, and I didn't pick up on the reference until I saw Starbrand this issue. My only problem is beween the two Avengers books, at first glance it looks like they are both facing similar multi-universal events. I kind of only want to read one of those types of stories right now.
March 7, 2013 7:43 am I thought DP-7 was the mutant book?
March 7, 2013 7:41 am Am I the only one that has a problem with Kitty acting like a 12 year old or spider-man in this issue? Was she deaged as part of marvel now and I didnt know it?
February 12, 2013 7:45 am And continued zombies standing right against the fence, instead of taking 10 seconds to stab them, to kill them and lessen a chance of them getting in, they quickly have to run in to avoid them.. This happens week after week and at this point they deserve to be over run. If they drag out this "rick is losing it' storyline in full view of everyone for weeks and the group continues to follow him, equally as stupid.
January 19, 2013 4:23 pm So Ron is leaving ifanboy to focus on running his comic book store AND its only gonna sell image comics? Good luck Ron, please come back for the year end round ups, since the other two dont really listen to music anymore :)
May 6, 2012 9:11 am And while I do not disagree with Josh's statement about overhead and why comics are not cheaper... lets look at the math. 30% to google or apple. and for arguments sake, lets say the same to the app you buy it from (even though I suspect that may be high). If someone runs a store they could give an idea what kind of a % cut the store gets on each paper sale to tighten that number up a little bit. So from a starting point 60% of the sale goes to other people. A 3.99 comic means that $1.60 is left to go to the people making the comic (company/creators/etc). $2.40 to overhead. Lets say they drop the price to 2.99 on the same comic. Does 1.40 still go to overhead leaving only .59 to the people making the comic. no. If they drop it to 2.99 then it drops to 1.20 to the people making the comic. And then the real equation, which is the key to the question... does making (hypothetically in this case) 40 cents less a comic bring in X number of more sales to offset that. And while we probably don't even know what in what ballpark that number is... the sure way to meet is is as Josh said.. volume.
