I think this may be the best adaptation of a comic book movie ever. The only other one I ever was so into and just taken by was the first Spiderman (especially when he is first swinging thru NY.)
It is defintly in my top 3 movies of the year. I want to put it number 1, but the emotional response I got while watching Toy Story 3 is hard to overcome and Inception was just an amazing piece of film-making.
I think I also went with very low expectations. I did not like the trailers. But all of the reviews were just over-glowing.
I'm with Conor on the "how does this play to the civilian?" The trailers actually make me not want to see it. They seem so over the top and hokey.
When I told my wife about all the good reviews the movie was receiving, she didn't look thrilled, because she knew that meant that my hopes were revived.
June 9, 2010 4:22 pm if I were to guess Conor's pick (without reading any of the books) I going to go with SHIELD #2 or Justice League: Generation Lost #3......Batman seems to be too on the nose.
I got my LCS guy to read the first Mighty trade He loved it and then sold like 5 more copies of the trade just because he was able to tell people about it.
May 26, 2010 2:54 pm Everytime I read this book, I get that sick feeling in my stomach that I started getting at the end of Trinity. I like Bagley's stuff on pretty much everything else but it just doesn't seem to connect with me when he does DC work.
BQ: Scrubs and The OC had me all up in manly tears. I was happy with the Shield and Lost finales....I'm hoping tonite's 24 can close with something that seems right.

@PostMan - the book is not bi-monthly because of Hickman, it is because of the art.
