May 25, 2015 11:49 am Regarding Satellite Sam - according to the next issue solicitation (https://imagecomics.com/comics/releases/satellite-sam-15) they are headlining it as the 'THE END of the first SATELLITE SAM STORY!'. Not sure what this means, but this series is one I've been wanting to start since it was first mentioned as the POW back in EP# 393 (yes, better late than never)...
January 4, 2015 1:02 pm I'm catching up on some old episodes and thought this might be handy. Books mentioned by the guys regarding Lincoln at the end of the podcast: Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln's Killer American Brutus: John Wilkes Booth and the Lincoln Conspiracies "They Have Killed Papa Dead!": The Road to Ford's Theatre, Abraham Lincoln's Murder, and the Rage for Vengeance Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination that Changed America Forever (though not recommended by Josh)
September 2, 2013 2:47 pm Very well said. I feel the same way, hearing the conversations over the years that transcend comics when they discuss pop culture along with hobbies from the entertainment industry. Memories created from listening of past shows, even though I'm not an active participant, are similar to some I have when actually talking with my friends. I've tried other comics podcasts, nothing comes close to matching the chemistry and style of iFanboy.
September 2, 2013 12:15 pm I discovered iFanboy after going through the internet video streams on my Tivo, ran across the video on Secret Invasion. Was never a comic reader, only reference I had were the cartoons I watched growing up as a kid (BTAS, X-Men, Spiderman, etc). After watching that show, came to the website and started downloading the podcasts (yes, went back to the very beginning and have listened to each one ever since). Although I didn't visit the website daily, I still appreciated the content provided as I would peruse the net during the day. Sad to see daily operations going away, but thrilled that the podcasts will continue as those have kept me going. You guys got me into comics, and have kept me here - the industry owes you a debt of gratitude for the many others like me who got going because of what you produce. Take care all, and very much look forward to the shows going forward - it has kept me sane (and awake) during most of the driving trips I've taken over the last five plus years.
July 3, 2013 11:45 pm Glad to get an iFanboy perspective, was surprised with the amount of negative reviews from the aggregator sites...
July 3, 2013 10:17 am I remember picking up the compendium at a bookstore before I got into comics, didn't pull the trigger then and there but after some checking around (and discovering iFanboy) I bought the first trade and have been into comics ever since. Great to see the series keeping it going.
June 13, 2013 10:17 am Cool visuals, wonder if there will be a good story to back it... however looks like it may still be a fun theater going experience.
June 11, 2013 10:16 am Emerald Dawn would be great, then down the road rebirth leads to blackest night and we come full circle. Whom would you cast in Reynolds place?
June 11, 2013 10:12 am I hold my reservations until we know what Christopher Nolan's plans are, I can't say I trust the other creators without his guidance.
