June 28, 2011 5:52 pm Hell. My favorite comic book character is either Sinestro or Captain Marvel. Meeting Sinestro would be frightening, and meeting Captain Marvel would be cool for about two seconds and then the saccharine conversation would lead me to put my head in the oven.
@Constable precisely for that reason you should have filled out the survey. Now you've only created self-selection bias that will portray us fans as crazy types with human skin lampshades.
June 27, 2011 1:32 pm BQ: Working at a sporting goods store where I was stabbed with a fishing pole through the hand. They gave me a bandaid and I had to work the rest of my shift. I had to pull the pieces of the pole out myself with pliers. I do not regret leaving the place.
June 13, 2011 4:07 pm Um. I wouldn't consider Tron a box office bust. It did well enough to get the sequel green lit, and an animated TV show put into production. Was it a "disappointment" to Disney? Yes, because they wanted Avatar numbers. Scott Pilgrim didn't even come close to making back it's budget (including tax benefits) and Sucker Punch made about its budget; both could be considered flops when you add in marketing costs. Tron doubled its budget. It was the 12th highest revenue for 2010. It's not stupendously amazing numbers, but it actually made money. I think that's more of the author's bias seeping in a little.

But I'm glad Dr. Doom is back next week. I should ask him a question.
