June 23, 2014 4:40 am As far as the movie discussion, I have always loved The Crow with Brando Lee. Superman the Movie is my favorite comic book movie of all time. The 1st Blade was pretty good too! I am on the same page as Conor with Superman 3 and the fight between Clark and Evil Superman. I love that sequence and no one was a better Clark Kent (or Superman) than Christopher Reeve.
June 15, 2014 9:51 pm My pick would be Armor Hunters#1. SPOILERS! They fucking blew up Mexico City! NICE! What will it take for the ifanboy crew to talk about a Valiant book in the podcast. Valiant is my favorite publisher right now.
May 25, 2014 10:17 pm I retconned The Last Stand and Wolverine Origins almost from the moment I finished watching each of them, so I was glad to see it actually happen 'for real' in this flick.
May 25, 2014 10:00 pm I have not listened to the podcast yet but surprised that you guys did not mention Forever Evil #7, since it is not listed in the show notes. That would probably my pick of the week. The owner at my LCD talked me into getting it even though i had not read an issue since #3. And I am glad that he did. The final issue had some pretty cool moments in it and a lot of them were Lex Luthor ones. Close runner up would be X-O Manowar #25, but mostly due to this being one of my favorite books I am reading each month..
May 25, 2014 7:41 am Was awesome for Ron to be back if only for a one off! I really dug this new X-Men film. May be my favorite of all the X-Men movies. Need to see it again to have a definitive answer. I am way into the retconning for sure. Seems to wipe out all of the continuity of all the previous films but mainly X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and even The Wolverine to some degree. Maybe we can even see Deadpool done right through the re-do!
April 13, 2014 3:02 pm this is right up there with Avengers as one of my all time favorite Marvel films. for sure in my top 10 of all time favorite comic book movies. May see it again in theaters but really looking forward to the blu ray so I can pause and rewind on all the easter eggs that are in there.
March 9, 2014 10:28 pm I need to give Afterlife with Archie a try since 2 of the 4 issues have been picks of the week. Moon Knight #1 I did enjoy and will be giving it a good 6 to 8 issues. Loved the concept that basically he has gotten brain damage from Konshu fucking with his head all this years. Did not get a chance to read much else this week, but have Quantum and Woody #0 (Goat) and Archer & Armstrong #18 to read. Love the podcast. It has become a Sunday staple for me.
February 8, 2014 8:24 pm I did like JL: War but it was not one of the stronger of the DC animated films. Some of the voice acting was not up to par of the previous movies for me. I was also not a big fan of the swapping out Aquaman for Shazam, mainly because it seems that leaving Aquaman out was just another middle finger to a great character. We should see him though cuz of the setting up of the Throne of Atlantis storyline. I agree that Superman did look to bulky. Superman is not a body builder.
August 31, 2013 5:54 am I have just gotten into this series. I picked up the first 3 issues at a comic shop on Thursday and I am loving it. Really dig Jae Lee's art and Greg Pak's writing is amazing. Pak will also be writing the newest Valiant book that hits shelves soon with that title being the Eternal Warrior.
August 18, 2013 7:30 pm Ivar is not in the book for long but I am hoping that he gets his own Timewalker book. He does allude to some future events in the Valiant universe though. The Valiant books have been stellar so far. Even the worst books are better than 95 percent of the other books out there.
