August 9, 2010 7:33 pm Sometimes I feel like DC lives to disappoint me. It all started when the messed up Impulse and Superboy.

My wife and I are there opening night. We both love the series and cannot wait. Seriously, I'd stay home rather than going to see The Expendables.

We're also in for the game day one.

August 5, 2010 8:20 pm I've lost interest in DD with all of this Shadowland stuff but my interest would be rekindled if Foggy were the new man without fear.

Shit just got serious!

I wasn't sure about Young Justice as this looks more like Teen Titans than YJ but if David is in so am I. I still mourn the loss of the 90s DC heroes.

I still mourn the loss of Spectacular Spider-Man but this gives me a lot of hope.

June 18, 2010 8:50 am @diabhol: Wow. I don't understand the hatred of great artists that have a more exaggerated style. Artists like Skottie Young, Jim Mahfood, Humberto Ramos and Chris Bachalo are the people who really keep me interested in comics. I prefer the expressive artists and I can trace that back to Bill Sienkiewicz, Walter Simonson, Mike Zeck and Arthur Adams works from the 80s. I find the more realistic artists to be boring. I've never been able to get excited over Perez or the like.

The PSP is a great device for comics. At first I wasn't sure about it but the reader works very well and there's a nice library available. I am anxiously awaiting the upcoming Android IDW app.

I'm ready to move away from paper. There are no great LCS in my area and the paper just clutters up my home. Most of the comics I read are via direct subscription and are given away once I'm finished. The digital approach works better for me.

May 27, 2010 11:54 pm Let's see, for $4 I get 32 pages of comics. For $10, I get 200+ pages of manga in a nice, bookshelf-worthy form.  That's a hard sell.
May 8, 2010 7:35 pm My wife and I both really enjoyed the movie. The action sequences were good and the story was more complicated and interesting than the first IM. Rourke's conversation with Tony about God was the high point of his character. Overall, I found this to be better than Kick-Ass but not as good as Spider-Man 2.
April 21, 2010 7:19 pm I had this short-lived dream that I'd click on the link and see YJ in Todd Nauck's style. Damn I miss 90s DC!
November 24, 2009 6:32 pm Hal Jordan is my least favorite GL so I'll vote Nova. If Nova were facing Kilowog, John Stuart, Guy Gardner or Kyle things might be different.
