Following on the heels of the Fat Cobra issue, this story fell flat to me. Part of the charm of the Fat Cobra issue was the look into his past and seeing him question what he’s believed to be true. Seeing this powerful man crumble was both interesting and emotional. This book zags from that trail. Instead of background information on the most enigmatic Immortal Weapon, we get a tale of the legend of the Bride of Nine Spiders. The story plays out like a Twilight Zone episode. The Iron Fist back up story was quite good. The high points of this comic are the cover and the back up story. This was a big disappointment.
