BURN THE ORPHANAGE: BORN TO LOSE #1
August 8, 2013 1:30 am I read the first couple pages and was a bit perplexed. Then I got to the panel with 'FIGHT!" and it really clicked. It's straight up old skool video game fun, Keeping that in mind, its really pretty awesome. Having Bear parrot a line from the little brother in "A Christmas Story" when he's trying to catch up to Rock and Lex sealed the deal for me. It isn't what I expected, but I had a damn good time reading it.

ASTONISHING X-MEN #64
July 11, 2013 8:05 am The parallels between Dark Phoenix and "dark' Iceman revisiting their home and family is perfection. I admit I was on the fence with her first arc but Marjorie Liu has been stepping up her game with each subsequent issue.

ASTONISHING X-MEN #62
May 9, 2013 12:05 am Ever since the Warbird storyline, things have really started to click for this title. It seems like it took a few issues for Marjorie Liu really establish the voice of the book, plus the addition of Gabriel Hernandez Walta didn't hurt. This new arc is really showing the potential for Iceman as a character and as a power to be reckoned with.

CABLE AND X-FORCE #7
April 17, 2013 2:44 pm My love of Avengers Arena made me give this book another shot. I didn't mind the first issue, but it didn't wow me. I grabbed 2-5 and really love it. I actually swapped this out for Uncanny X-Force on my pull list. He has me enjoying friggin' Boom Boom, this Dennis Hopeless is one crafty man.

ASTONISHING X-MEN #61
April 17, 2013 2:35 pm Marjorie Liu kinda surprised me and has pulled off the strongest chapter despite the small army of artists on this book, I had reservations with some of her early run, but she has really been knocking it out the park.

ULTIMATE COMICS X-MEN #25
April 4, 2013 4:44 am Brian Woods is really hitting his stride with this storyline. He writes an interesting Jean Grey as well as making Kitty Pryde really shine.

AGE OF APOCALYPSE #14
April 3, 2013 7:39 pm I like to think I roll with the punches when a book I love is cancelled and I totally get that this is part of a bigger crossover story. Having said that, I do wish there would have been a bit more of an ending for this issue, seeing as it's the final issue and all.

INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US #3
March 26, 2013 8:47 am I've heard this is going to be a six issue mini-series but it really never states it on the cover...is there confirmation one way or the other? I dare say this is actually my favorite DC title.

CABLE AND X-FORCE #6
March 19, 2013 8:27 am I was quick to drop this when it came out mainly cuz it didn't grab me and I wanted to not add every Marvel NOW title to my pull list. I am really loving Avengers Arena so I decided to grab issues 2-5 and it's really grown on me. Dr Nemesis is quickly becoming my favorite character.
