I enjoyed the first scene in this issue.  It’s more of the same thing we’ve come to expect from these…

I’m a sucker.  I admit it, throw in a retro Marvel segment and if it’s done well, you’ve got me. …

I was a little skeptical when I heard about this series, mostly because of the price, but holding it in…

July 30, 2011 7:51 pm I normally much prefer sci fi movies to Western movies and I agree, I would have liked this more if it was Cowboys & More Cowboys.
July 8, 2011 10:15 am They worked together on Cable before, didn't they?
June 22, 2011 9:40 pm So the hipster cops are Josh and Black Conor now?
June 6, 2011 11:33 am It's very cool to see Capulo doing a Batman book.  It's also cool to see two books by a single writer/artist, which is something we don't get enough of in modern mainstream comics (though I haven't read anything by either of them as writers).
June 3, 2011 2:53 am I've always wondered why they don't have ads in the digital comics.  Honestly, I kind of miss them, especially after reading all the old Spider-Man comics from the DVD-rom that do include them.  Could ads bring the prices down?
June 2, 2011 6:09 pm I wasn't expecting 99¢, but I think digital and print being the same price is ridiculous.  I still think $1.99 is a little high but it's reasonable, half the print price seems fair to me.
May 21, 2011 6:31 am Did they officially say they were reprinting the whole original series?  I remember them saying some reprints are coming, I didn't think they said the whole series, though.  I really hope they do.
May 20, 2011 4:58 pm It is very cool that Eastman is involved.  I'm still holding out hope that Laird will finish Volume 4 some day.  Never going to happen… but I would love it.  Volume four was fantastic when read all at once.  I didn't start reading it until close to #20 and then caught up in a weekend.  It was great.  Unfortunately, it took like four years for those issues to come out.
May 5, 2011 1:12 pm The Origin of Donald Blake is insane.  When I got to that issue reading the Essentials it kind of blew my mind.  The really early issues of Thor are pretty lackluster, there is no mention of Asgaurd for a long time, and then it just pops up out of no where at some point and THEN well after that, Stan tries to explain it in this issue.  I love it.
