I was going to write a tirade complaining about the New 52, but honestly this book was too good not…

BATMAN #0
September 13, 2012 10:05 pm I used to do this all of the time. I loved trying to make a timeline of all the Batman stories (and by extension, all DC stories in general). The New 52 really ruined that for me. These characters aren't the same characters they were before. Sure everyone treats Batman's chronology like it hasn't been altered, but the Batman from Year One is the same Batman who revealed his identity to Catwoman in Hush. He's the same Batman who knocked out Guy Gardner in one punch. He was the Batman who watched his city collapse from a 7.6 earthquake and rebuilt it after saving it from becoming a No Man's Land. These things are gone. This is a new Bruce Wayne. A new Red Hood Gang. Even a new Gotham. I don't mind it as much as I thought I would. Quite frankly, I'm enjoying getting to know them all over again.

FanExpo 2012: Geoff Johns & David Finch Team for JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA
August 26, 2012 7:01 pm I wonder why the backdrop is a tattered American flag and a desolated cityscape. Just Finch putting in a background or a hint at the group's origin?

Heads Up: DC Comics Previews – November 2012
August 26, 2012 7:00 pm JL is a new arc and I have no problem with Daniel stepping up to do an interlude arc. I don't mind a different artist on different arcs though. I think this was done quite well on Detective with Jock and Francavilla alternating. And I didn't mind the way it worked on Morrison's Batman and Robin. If the fill in comes in the middle of an arc though? I'd much rather just wait. The last issue of Morrison's Batman and Robin was a bit of a mess with three different artists contributing. All great artists, but they did not mesh well.

The Atom: Where Do I Start?
August 23, 2012 3:20 pm I'd like to see them put some costumed heroics into Palmer's new background. Maybe a one off issue of Frankenstein could reveal he stopped being the Atom when the Morlaidhans were wiped out due to deforestation? He's a cool character that I think could stand a little more attention.

SPECULATION: David Finch to Return to Marvel? UPDATE: Apparently Not
August 21, 2012 3:45 pm I'd watch a DD TV show. It would be a perfect street level vantage point of the Marvel universe. And if they used it to introduce Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Black Panther? Oh yeah, this could work out very well.

iFlashback! August 20th, 2003
August 21, 2012 12:01 am This is exactly what I thought when I saw it on the list. Outsiders was amazing. And now what we have is Winick's Catwoman and Batwing? I still don't understand why he wasn't on Red Hood and JLI when the relaunch started. Red Hood could have been like Outsiders will more killing.

BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT #11
July 26, 2012 1:15 am David Finch just does not understand how a reflection works. In both this and the last issue he drew the reflection of the kid in the head mirror the wrong way.

The Best of the Week in Panels – 06.13.2012
June 16, 2012 10:15 pm I kind of hated Irving after all the delays on B&R, but after his stellar work on Xombie and this amazing issue of Shade (although there really haven't been any issues of Shade that I found lacking) I'm beginning to see where all the love comes from.
