April 8, 2009 6:34 am Ron, I read this after you tweeted about it a month or two ago, and loved it. i've been a queen fan since the mid 80's so I knew the history, which made it a lot of fun. I suggest you look up the videos and concert footage on you tube as you read the book, it makes it even more enjoyable.

IMHO you don't want to jump on here, go back and pick up the trades. I really didn't like the art in this book, not sure what was wrong with it exactly, but I had a hard time telling characters apart in the very beginning.

Happy to donate to the cause guys, the podcasts are one of the highlights of my week. How about we get back to the iFanboy support in the comments here, and not bicker. Can't we all just get along?

December 5, 2008 10:06 am I won't get suckered in to another Marvel event next year. So glad that I'm only reading a few Marvel titles at the moment, and they don't seem to be included in the Dark Reign stuff.  That's $121.65 that Marvel won't be getting from me through February, at least according to the Marvel Previews from the shop.
November 13, 2008 11:07 am I think that the switch to trades for me would hurt my LCS. I very rarely buy trades from the LCS, it's almost always amazon, or some other discounted site like instocktrades.com. If I really want a trade that day for some reason, I end up going to Borders with the 25% to 30% coupons they send out almost weekly. They also have the occasional 40% with which I end up getting an absolute book with, like I just did with New Frontier last month.
November 13, 2008 11:01 am @Cadgers   I've had to go through 3 different municipalities of local public library's in 2 different states, but I've been super lucky in finding excellent trades to read. The nice thing is that they have online resources for searching, and putting books on hold. The library with the most trades is about 20 minutes away, but worth the drive if I get to read something new, for free. I just got caught up on the old man logan books, in issues from the library. @josh, I agree, my wife is going to start questioning how much I spend in comics, if she ever starts doing the finances.
November 13, 2008 10:34 am I just think it's disrespectful to read in your LCS, not only to the store owner, but to the person that may eventually buy that issue. I actually prefer the comics I pick up, only being read by me. If I want to read a comic that everybody else has been through, I'll go to the library. I've found several local libraries that carry single issues, and have a ton of trades to read. Heck I've read all the walking dead trades, Y: the last man, and I've got 11 Powers trades checked out right now to read.
November 12, 2008 9:53 am Longshot is an awesome character that hasn't gotten enough Marve attention in recent years. I thought that it was gonna be cool when he was in Ultimate X-men, but that was pretty short lived, and they made him out to be a dick. I almost purchased the Turner cover of Uncanny X-Men 500, because Longshot was on the cover.
August 5, 2008 7:59 am Any chance my wife might like this book? Runaway's is the only book I've been able to get her to read. I've never read any Terry Moore, but I plan on getting the next Runaway's series.
July 2, 2008 4:10 pm I love that the comic shop owner was drinking out of a Disappearing Tardis coffee mug. They seem to have the 80's comic shop down.
