June 5, 2012 4:10 pm first issue caught my attention! What a beginning killing off the Big 3. I agree with @HOSSBONAVENTURE, who cares who's gay or not! This announcement made me angry with DC for making a "Gay" move. It almost seems as if DC's in the back of a room jumping up and down with their hand in the air for attention saying "we've got a gay guy too!" But damn if the art in this book doesn't rival Jim Lee's Justice League! Very impressive and should have been part of the original 52 releases for sure!

June 5, 2012 4:06 pm I hope this title keeps my attention. Seems like a great team up like everyone is commenting. But with so much out, doesn't seem like such an epic title to keep on my list...but we'll see.

June 5, 2012 4:05 pm Looking forward to ALL the Before Watchmen series. Cooke is perfect for this story. I remember back in the day reading Watchmen looking for any back issues about the MinuteMen. I swore there were back issues, but I guess it was 'MinuteMan' I though of? Anyways, Where DC will succeed in these prequels is getting the perfect teams for each character. JG Jones for Comedian! Bermejo for Rorshach! Kuberts for Night Owl! Cooke will bring the glory days of this superhero group in pure nostalgic fashion. Can't wait to see more about the Moth guy who went crazy, the hooded justice guy, the lesbian couple, and everyone else we've grown to love over time.

June 5, 2012 4:01 pm Hickman writes a "Damn Good Comic!" Was going to skip this series, then I finally picked up #1 and like everyone else, got hooked and roped in. It's now getting to a point that a Hickman comic cannot be missed.

June 5, 2012 3:59 pm This is the point I'm thinking #AVX will start picking up. The next act with "No More Avengers" will bound to get our attention. Fingers crossed that it gets better, before I get buyer's remorse for all the issues and crossovers and variants I've been acquiring.
