I'm sitting here at four in the morning with my ipad on the toilet and just wanted to quick check the mails and you are crushing me with those news. Ron, you were always the one with the (nearly) same taste in comics as me. I will miss your opinion. But as I look at my subscription list with now 40 image titles in it, image won't need your help to sell their comics to me. Either way, congratulations. I'm happy for you. Sounds like a hell of a job. Good luck! And welcome paul, always liked the shows when you were jumping in.

January 11, 2013 1:45 pm Living in germany I have no other option than getting my comics by mail. At the begining of each month i get a big pack with the circa 50 titles I pull. When its january I get the december issues. For example are batman#5, twd#105 or avengers#1 right now on my To read pile.( And no there is no discount, i m paying full cover price. And the damn weak € makes em even more expensive. Three years ago when we had an strong € the exchange rate was much better.) So I m naturally always a month behind on potw podcasts which sometimes can be a little annoying. I always have to study the previews catalogue so I m not missing out on titles I m potentially interrested in. I have to put for example hickmans east of west into my subscription list to get it "on time" so the guy i m ordering from can preorder it. If i cancel a subscription i have to wait till the next month until its really canceled. That and a growing space problem on my shelves and in my longboxes is driving me succesively into going digital.

January 9, 2013 3:45 pm Literally learnt to read with asterix. Have read them books more than twenty times. I recommend the books where they visit other countries to have a look at some stereotypes from an european angle. Especially love the asterix in corsica volume cause i love that little island with its delicious cheese. Ahh, and the running gag with the pirates. Damn, now i'm dwelling in childhood memories

October 9, 2012 9:01 pm Already am on the saga train. Preordered the point of impact and macgyver series. Bumped as ron that near death has ended out of the nowhere. Waiting for the macgyver thing since it was announced that becky cloonan would be attached to it, even though she isn't, still can't wait for it.... Back to my childhood...

October 8, 2012 2:36 pm I am just re-reading my german tpb of 1602. It was one of the last translated comics i bought. Soon after that i bought only english originals, even though it was first a pain in the ass to have to look up every second word in the dictionary. But in the end i learned more english from comics than from school.

May 19, 2012 7:26 am Preordered that book months ago at amazon.de. There it was solicited as an image book. Will now cancel that preorder and give em the money dirctly via kickstarter.

April 5, 2012 1:48 pm Thanks for posting this. I was one of the first backers and i still fear that they won't reach their goal. Still only 74 backers. Come on people. There must be more than 74 people who want to see an image documentary being made.
