Blah blah blah never really dug Superman hummina hummina Geoff Johns yadda yadda same old same old bipade bopade boo.

Of course, Johns would be the one who could write thus overly re and rehashed again story in such a way that I actually enjoyed it.  There was nothing groundbreaking or new, but the fact that Johns has Clark discovering his Kryptoniannessishnessesqueocity at such a young age (Take that, Smallville!  Teen angst got nothing on middle school fear.) made the story feel more important to me.  Sure, you’re “going through changes” when you’re in high school, but by that point, you’re aware of it.  How much freakier to get all these powers before pimples, even.

Frank’s art, whole not the most amazing thing I’ve seen this week, by any stretch, did a really good job at drawing a realistic, youthful set of characters.  Not just short adult with big eyes.  Didn’t really like his Lex Luthor, though.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 3 - Good
