Forget the Joker, Two-Face or Black Mask, James Jr. is the creepiest crazy in Gotham.  Scott Snyder’s ability to make me feel actual dread as I progress from panel to panel shows that THIS is how powerful comics are made, and Francesco Francavilla’s excellent David Mazzucchelli-an art tie these Batman: Year One characters into the modern DC universe perfectly.

    1. Good comments.  The dread heightened panel to panel.  The art style compliments the story perfectly.

    2. @dkbrain: Thanks.  Even the coloring captures the Year One mood.  Francavilla is a hell of a comic ARTIST, and when he trades off with Jock on the book I look forward to it less.
