There will be red, orange, and purple hues, and blood. Francesco Francavilla draws an awesome mild-mannered murderer and an even better flamboyant fiend. This Gotham/Gordon centric arc has been a compelling case of doubt and experience. The public enemies in this story are born and bred in the nightmares of Gotham citizens. Their motivations and actions are realistic. They are more than characters they are more than the mad products of a dark city, they are a problem that must be solved and I can’t wait to see how this problem will be”solved”. Last week had me giving up on super-hero comics yet this week has reminded me that good stories are out there and many are waiting to be told. Just when I thought I had seen it all, I am once again intrigued by the city that has inspired some of my favorite stories. Scott Snyder’s dark side lives in Gotham and I am glad to know he is not leaving yet…
