I’ve been waiting for this since the moment Kyle and Guy kissed, expressing their true feelings for one another at the tale end of the Sinestro Corps war..

Wait! That didn’t happen? I always thought it should have though.

When I finished Sinestro Corp I had the most overwhelming feeling of dismay. It was like, having a one-night stand with the most beautiful girl in the world. You wake up hoping she’ll still be there, but she’s gone.

I remember asking my LCS manager, “what the hell are they going to do now? Summer ’09?!”

It seemed so far away.   

But I’d like to congratulate Geoff Johns on his epic interlude. Looking back on it: Secret Origin, Rage, etc. Mostly, damn good. But this is what we wanted.

And we, we are an eager bunch – seemingly easy to please. I almost believe that if Johns had wiped his ass with a page and titled it Blackest Night we’d have still frothed at the mouth outside our local comic shops in anticipation of this event.

Now, because you’ve probably already read Blackest Night, I’m not going to go into detail about the events therein. What I will do is continue the praise and campaign for my personal favorite GL artist, Ivan Reis. Try as I may not to share opinions with that crazy fuck bat TNC (i prefer calling him Champ. that’s me). He’s right on this one.

Ivan Reis draws GL books like nobodys business. My eyes just lust on his work from panel to panel. I find myself questioning the effort he’s putting into this, because I don’t think it’s fair. To him, it’s effortless. I keep asking myself with each panel, “why can’t other artists just get it right, and draw like this?”

Mahnke, Schmanke. 

With the utmost sincerity I respect everyone’s opinion on this. Obviously this is just mine. It’s just so goddam’d impressive, and it’s what got me reading this series in the first place. If only I could give it a 6, or even a 7. I surely would.

Mostly, though, I just wanna send out a virtual high-five to all the IFanbrethren. This was awesome! Just AWESOME! The next eight months are going to f’n ROCK!

and then, Kyle and Guy will kiss again..
